Im 5'11" 175lbs in need of a park ski. The Dumont and the Pipe Cleaner are the two I narrowed it down to but if they are any other suggestions Im all ears!
if it is "Park" like you say, then dumonts theyll be great everywhere, the pipe cleaner is prob the best pipe ski cause its designed specifically for the pipe, but it has a race base and not that strong of edges, it will be durable. but if your gonna slide some metal, and hit regular jumps id say dumonts
i am a fan of the line chronic chrome, if i had to chosse between the pipe cleaner and the dumont i would say the dumont i have a pair of 2010 dumonts the only problem ive had is there edges are de railing towards the top but i do a lot of jibs so maybe thats the reason.
Dumont is the Suspect but a bit stiffer, so saying its edges are better than Armadas is stupid.
And the difference is the Dumont is fairly stiff throughout, while the PC has a soft tip and tail and stiffer underfoot(Dumons is also probably stiffer underfoot). PCs are more stable than you would think with that though and will do fine anywere in the park including rails...The race base is fine, and you do go faster. Pipe Cleaners are lighter by a decent amount.
