what trick do you guyz think is super dumb eaither astheticly or technically

front 2 off... I get it if ur jut starting and figuring it out.... also it can b sketch on some rails but it doesnt look that cool imo

unless you are on a huge booted and superman it or are named Simon Dumont front flips generally don't look that great. Also lip on front 2s look atrocious 95% of the time.

I personally dont really like the look of big buttered spins. like i know they're extremely difficult to do but they just look kinda sloppy. i'm talking nose butter dub 10 and the likes.

Some of the stuff the bunch does doesn't even seem like skiing to me, as much as i love them.

Example: The Shot at 2:30, nothing about that really impresses me, he basically just got on a platform and dragged his hand as he got off. Rest of the video is sick tho.

strait air untweaked cannonball. not a fan

for rails, I would say that I am not a fan of edge catching. shits lame

most of the stuff line traveling circus does like that moving box it makes skiing look more like a joke than cool. i will say they can pretty much 50-50 anything and that is sick

sw butter 2's where people butter 5+ feet before the rail, it just looks like you bitched out of hitting the rail switch.

yea it just looks like a swivel 180 before the rail

also, i fucking hate the bunch. they are boring as fuck to watch. they have taken "style" way too far. its not stylish or cool. its gay

Anything on a super small rail or a box. Unless the trick is like a 3 swap on a 3 foot long rail, it looks stupid. Also front swaps to forward don't look great.

finally someone realizes the truth

I honestly feel bad for anybody hating on The Bunch in this thread, you guys must have no fun while skiing, it doesn't have to be about tryna stomp the most switchups or spins.

Lol some people just don't like that kind of skiing or find it entertaining. Saying that you feel bad for them is a little condescending... though I agree the hate is unnecessary.

Sw fakie butter 270 on. Where you start from switch then butter to forward a couple feet before the rail and hop on. Sw butter 270 on is cool, but if you butter to forward way before the rail it just looks like you forgot what you were gonna do on the rail.

also 1 foot hop lipslides.

Just because I dislike SOME of the tricks The Bunch does means I don't have fun while skiing??

Idk if you read Sklar's article earlier this week, but I think it applies to you sir.

There are no dumb tricks there are only dumb kids who can't think outside of the box.

No shame in being dumb though, you'll find plenty of company :)

Lol you kids that gargle on the bunchs balls never fail to amaze me. Just because someone doesn't like a style doesn't mean they don't have fun skiing their own way. You wannabe bunch kids are such hipster hypocrites it's hilarious.

Nothing wrong with disliking the style. The thing is, most of the kids hating on the bunch are hating because they don't consider the tricks "real" just because they aren't technically difficult to do. That's what is annoys me.

You can like whatever you like, but don't try to discredit a persons skiing because it doesn't fit some stupid template you've created in your head for "real skiing".

Like when kids try to say the game of slvsh with lsm and bmack is shitty because they do no real tricks.

If its my set and I decide I want to do a nose manual for 5 metres that's my trick and my set and my call to make. Like it or not, doesn't make it any less "real" and any less of a trick.

I always thought broken grinds looked pretty dumb. But whatever. If you're having fun and not running anyone over, who cares.

Also when the hippy killer was first unleashed. A million people who could barely make it to the end of a box on a good day going for that, and nothing else. But same as above. If you're having fun, fuck it.

I understand your argument but the thing is, skiing, just like anything else in our lives requires a binary of what is and what isn't. It's too idealistic to say that simply anything is a trick. Thats where the debate comes in because each person has their own definition of a trick and a cut off line of what qualifies and what doesn't to them. I've never discredited the bunch because they aren't doing tricks. They definitely are, just I don't care for some of them because they are no harder than say doing a back2, something you learn your first year of park. Sure they may do things that aren't being done, but there has to be a point where you realize it wasn't being done because it isn't hard or entertaining.

Also the hypocrisy of the bunch and many people that emulate them is that they themselves have created a template in their head. They generally do the same style of skiing and hardly ever branch out from their 'own' style.

The wells brothers are honestly at the pinacle of free skiing because of this. They know no limits, they can do stuff as technical and weird as the bunch and then turn around and throw a trip 10. They're far more of an inspiration to me than the bunch because they aren't content with just doing the same thing over and over. Just my opinion though.

I feel like the bunch style of skiing is following very closely in snowboardings steps. If you look at snowboarding, it's over saturated with kids wearing doofy clothes and doing weird taps and grabs with out spins. It's really starting to get boring. Lol hopefully skiers don't start wearing dopey ass helmets ironically like snowboarding..

There's a big difference between doing a nose-manual and sliding underneath a rail.

I disagree with front 2's being a stupid trick. Boosting a nollie front 2 off a big up-rail is sooo damn fun. Yeah they look stupid af when a kid is first learning them, but after a while you can add your own style and make them look sick.
