Crossing the border into canada alone under 18, allowed? I'd have a letter signed by my parents (and my dad is a notary so it would be officially stamped). I'd most likely be traveling with someone over 18 anyways, although she is Swedish and not American. Canada's tourist website said as long as you have a passport and a highly recommended letter you'd be all set, but just want to check with people that have actually done it.

 
I'm aware of that, but alone under 18. I'm sure you can but I've heard otherwise a couple of times.

however, im not sure if your dad can notarize for you since you're related and he'll be signing the letter. as he knows, just have him take the letter to a bank or whatever and theyll notarize for him. other than that, you should be good to go

A letter signed by both parents that's been notarized sounds good to me - I've never done it under 18, but I don't think they'll give you too much trouble. You could probably look around and find a boarder patrol number to give a call.

Im not sure how the G2 works. I know for us, we need a passport to get back into the states. Is there a number on the card you can call? Or possibly your embasssy or local dmv? They'll know.
 
i've done it twice this summer . just have a passport and a letter from parents/guardians what not saying you can. make sure they sign it
 
yeah you just need your passport and a letter signed by both parents if youre under 18. i dont think it has to be notarized or anything though
