Dude skis with his dog!

Quick and easy follow cam haha. Now all he needs is to put a chicken on the dogs head and it will be an auto-moving, auto-stabilising followcam.

When I was at la grave in France a while ago, they let people bring their dogs on the gondola. Seemed like the dogs always loved chasing their owners down through the pow.

I used to take my dog skiing but I had two problems. He always got huge wads of ice/compacted snow built up on his paws and I couldn't keep him off my ski tails so he once cut his paw open on my ski edge and I had to stop taking him. He fucking loved it though aside from the injury and always trying to nip at my skis.

It looked to me as though the dog was wearing a specialized tight fitting cap that held the gopro in place.

I saw this video on youtube of some skiers in Alaska with their huskies, when one of them hesitates and messes up dropping a feature, sets off a huge slab avalanche that goes about 1500ft with skier and dog caught in it. Then the camera zooms in and the dogs pops out at the bottom like it was a cake walk, don't think it ended as well for the skier unfortunately. I'll try and find it

I've seen that video in an avalanche course I took. I think either the other dog or the human didn't survive right?

There was an avalanche on Cameron Pass in Colorado last year that was set off by a dog and both the dog and human died.

Slightly unrelated, but if you ever bring your dog into the backcountry, it's important to either not put a beacon on it or to use a dog-specific beacon. Having a beacon on your dog can lead to the dog being dug out instead of a human.

^^^I've seen that video but it's not the one I was thinking of. The one I was thinking of was also in alaska but the dog set off the slide and not the skier.
