Bahaha this thread makes me laugh, only just saw it and people have got SO many facts wrong, im not going to correct them all because i cant be bothered. But that flooding of the building in the marina their was because the hardbour wall collapsed after alot of rain.
 
I heard theres nothing to do at night. I didn't realize there was no alcohol but it probably has alot to do with that.

Isn't their money worth like $25 dollars or something? That might be some other small country like Qatar or something.
 
At night- Partys with lots of american and aussie chicks with the alcohol, and the currency here aint that bad against the dollar.
 
I really hate Australians though. The chicks are cool but fuck the guys. And in places like southeast asia people are always mistaking you for them.
 
How about fuck countries built onj racism and Western greed? How about that. Give Dubai 100 years and it's the next buried civilization... unless they develop the most efficient and simple solar panel ever... but they seem a bit too intent on building absurd malls and 1000 story apartments.

its not that hard to find 1 trillion dollars...the american government has handed out 3 trillion dollars to developing nations governments to fight wars and shit against rival countries...
 
If you drink and drive you can get deported, or any violence involving alchohol, deportion. Alchohols not hard to get, most restraunts in hotels and all the clubs serve it, bars near ski dubai do too. At big events theirs also alcohol, im 16 and get served sometimes and they dont ask for ID.
 
when you think of it dubai is just a new new york, back when New york was thiveing the world was heading over there to see the amazing buildings like dubai its gonna become like new york is today.

Now look at Dubai, 80% lower land value than 2 years ago. Looks like they moved too fast. Also their fake sand sucks.

I can take some pics in ski dubai and stuff today if people want.
 
their sand is fake? i dont think so,,i was watching a thing on discovery and they get all there sand for there man made beaches from the sea floor on the coast. Also all the man made islands are made of 100% natural materials like not concrete just big boulders then a bunch of sand covering it all up

ALso, Dubai recently reached and economic slowing...Just like the rest of the world. Skyscrapers are being abandoned half constructed, population is beginning to lower, and money as well as companies are beginning to take their shares and hit the road... Oasis in the desert, soon not to be.. But I hear its indoor powder can't be beaten!!!

They're doing it all becasue tehy're thinking ahead. When the United Arab Emirates runs out of oil, waht is going to keep their economy running and keep them as a focus in the world scene?

they're building up all these attractions to make the whole place a large disney land sort of attraction so people will keep continuing to come to Dubai and spend their money there. This will allow its economy to keep functioning long after their oil supplies have run dry, although that will be quite far in the future...

so yeh, that's why they're building all this infastructure and Dubailand and the underwater hotel, 7 star hotel, palm island, world island, ect. ect. ect. ect.

eh its okay, no jumps becuase they have that tubing thing setup on the lower level but on the upper level they kept the slopestyle setup thing with like 7 rails and boxs or something.
sucks being the only skiier too hah. the one instructor loves park skiing so at least i have someone to talk to lol..He keeps telling me to stop afterbanging and bend real low for extra style.
 
Im not entirely sure you cant just move there. place is like one of the richest oil countrys in the world, that picture of that pennisula they brought sand from the desert in to build it. would be real sick to live there though, i had the same thoughts as you but didnt think it was possible
 
When I wrote that, well over a year ago, Bill Gates was the wealthiest person in the world. Warren Buffet and Carlos Helu are currently wealthier.
