DSLR Advice?

I'm interested in improving my filming capabilities with buying a dslr, stabilizer, and mic. I currently have a gopro, which I hate. I have a Mac and would need a camera that is compatible with Mac (so no sony). I use final cut pro. I would like the camera to shot in higher FPS and at least 720p. I'm willing to go around 600 on the camera. With a stabilizer I'm thinking a flycam or glidecam, but I don't want to go past 250 on that. With a mic I'm thinking the Rode VideoMic. Any thoughts, ideas, or advice will be greatly appreciated.

T3i. Tokina 11 16. Glidecam hd2000. Rode videomic. Cannot go wrong. If you wanna step up the quality you could also go with the 60d instead of t3i but theu are basically the samw camera

t3i seems to be a reliable favorite. I personally use a Sony a65 because it shoots in 60fps and I love it. But as other people have said you can't go wrong with the t3i, I have several friends who use it.

Don't forget that t3i is a t2i with a pop out screen and some unuseful built in filters. If i remember right it has identical sensors, and most of the hardware is exactly the same as t2i. So if you can buy a secondhand t2i or if it's still in stores i'd recommend buying a t2i and spend the saved money on a good lens or a steadycam/mic/on camera light, lenses make all the difference in slr's
