Drunk skiing?

My 2009 Elan Partisans have a bottle opener in the bottom of the right ski. I have never seen or heard of any other skis that have this. Anybody know why I have this.

Elan is a European brand everyone drinks whilst they ski in europe. Most people will have 4/5 drinks throughout from 10 onwards untill closing at 4. I've been skiing all over Europe since I was about 11 and I noticed this was quite common amoung recreation skiers

shit i wanna try this, idk why i never thought of it, i would throw all kinds of new shit... thank you and k+ to everyone in this thread

inb4 first ever pop-top grab. involves setting spin, pulling corona out of pocket, opening bottle on tip of ski (similar to truck driver), taking swig, stomping landing.

elan skis are so tight.

but during the spring its nice to get a buzz going while skiing. not suggesting someone go out and try it, its all a matter of preference. its like a trade off though. you lose the fear factor, but you cant throw down as good as normal. ya know.

I always carry a flask on me when I ski. Keeps you loose. And at my local mountain I take a break every hour and go to the car to have a beer or two. Makes skiing more enjoyable ;)

first time i was offered a beer was by a guy who was skiing around with a 12 pack and a flask tucked inside his powder suit. and he was wearing two different skis.

I have already witnessed this done in a 360 tail grab. beer basically shot out like a volcano on the landing though.

same guy did a nose block, opened the beer without spilling and skied away like a boss while chugging the beer.

hydrocodons man? cmon bro. i could understand smoking if thats your thing and drinking as welll. Hydrocodons? that i just way to far, there is no way you get fucked up enough in a good wayt o enjoy a day skiing.

Hahaha +k for the laughs. But drinking and skiing is fun every now and then. I try not to make a habit out of it though.

there's really never a need for a real bottle opener, just use a lighter or a hard surface. I do like the novelty value of having one in your skis tho

dude, drunk skiing can work! my friend got super drunk and couldnt do shit at first, then when he sobered up a little we went to the park. the only tricks he could do up to this point was 3's on small jumps. by the end of the day he landed a 5 on a big jump ha ha
