Drunk lady at Keystone

So I finally have time to sit down and make a thread for this. A while back in February we were up at keystone filming a little night skiing. We get to the top of the jump line and a lady notices our camera and asks if we can film her. She tells us she has never hit a jump before and wanted to film it to show her kids. After a little hesitation we agree and gave her a basic rundown of how to hit a jump. We suggested hitting the smaller table down low but she said the three guys she was with had hit it and she had to show them up. She dropped in, 5 margaritas deep, blasting american bad ass, and this was the outcome...

 
Maybe she was in fact a very stylish skier, and was going for the Cork 5 Hand Drag off the lip, but fucked up?
Either that, or she was a drunk gaper.
 
haha holy shit that was brutal. was she okay? before i even watched i knew she was gonna lean back too much. any time a beginner or tourist in the park asks me about a jump i always make sure to emphasize LEAN FORWARD or youre going to get your shit rocked
 
Actually looking at it again, if she had laid it out, and spotted the landing, the backflip would have come round quite nicely.
 
yeah she was fine. Right after the fall I thought I killed the lady. Before she hit the jump we did a basic rundown, she was trying to get me to let her hit it slow and didnt understand that coming up short would be a lot more painful/injury prone. I told her to keep her knees over her toe pieces and make sure her shins were weighted up and to just straight line from the top. She looked perfect until she hit the transition then she just threw her weight backwards. I thought she ws going to clip her head on the lip
 
this is pretty common in the midwest. some drunk asshole in carharts goes charging the jump line with cheers from his buddies and other park riders who are holding back the laughter. then they overshoot and bust their ass. hillarity ensues. never gets old.
 
HAHAHAHA ive never actually watched the youtube video just whats on my comp. i didnt know it had all that shit at the end...whoops. but how the fuck did it get there ha
 
Thank God she was going the correct speed. Good job coach Neil, or that seriously would have paralyzed her. If she came up 5 feet shorter she would never walk again. Geez, that scares me. People have no clue.

The fact that she is okay does make it quite amusing, but never worth the risk.
 
HAHA yes!!! I ski in Illinois and Wisconsin and this happens ALL the time.

The best one was a cold night in January this year. Me and a couple friends were pretty much the only ones in the park other than a lonely skier in an orange camouflage one-piece. We got to the top and he comes charging off the lift drunk as a skunk and wearing skis that looked like they would be better suited for firewood. He then proceeded to race past us screaming obscenities and bombs the hill at mach 10 towards a jump he had no business hitting. As he reached the peak of the kicker he somehow managed to double-eject, sending him into a somersault off the edge of the lip. After doing nearly a complete frontflip he backslapped the knuckle and rolled down the landing. My friend went and retrieved his gear, while I went to see if he was ok even though I was almost positive he was dead. As my friend hands him his things, he thanks us and says "Ain't gonna hurt till tomorrow anyway. I was just showin' you kids how not to do it". Then he chuckles and skis off down the hill attempting to 50-50 a box, but he ended up slipping out and smashing his ribs. Funniest gaper ever!
