Dr's appointment on short notice? tips?

I need a physical by next Tuesday and the office I HAVE to go to is not open Friday. I just found out I needed this physical for the Fire Dept today (or yesterday) and that only gives me today to call the office and beg for an appointment by tues night....any tips to getting in on such short notice?
 
just call and tell them the situation. my doctor can usually see me within a few hours notice. I could call now and get an appointment by the afternoon. just give them a ring
 
tell em you're situation. they'll set you an appointment, but you'll be last on the priority list.

just tell you dont care what doctor it is, it just needs to be a physical for work.
 
so thanks for the answers....except for the "yer fucked" I called them and since they work mostly with emergency services they took me today.
 
I was going to recommend the guy down the street but since you have a job you might be a little to old for him.
 
I JUST CALL MY FAMILY DOCTOR, THERES ALWAYS ONE ON CALL 7 DAYS A WEEK. BUT IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE THEN YOU SHOULD GO TO A WALK IN CLINIC, AS MENTIONED ABOVE.
 
I had to use the dept doctor smart ass...... I got a physical a week ago for college baseball and it wasnt enough. I had to do test wearing and SCBA which they don't do at normal offices.
 
Yes I did.... I said I HAVE to go to that office.....maybe it wasnt clear enough but im not dumg enough to not figure out myself to go to another office like people implied
 
guys guys guys I made this thread... then seven hours later I called the office when they opened they took me in that afternoon because Im emergency service... I guess they dont want responders down just for a physical
 
For future reference if you have a urgent care facility they take only walk-in's, pretty good and way shorter wait compared to an ER. The one by us can even do x-rays right then and there, and you know the results almost instantly, pretty sick imo.
 
ER? I was fine I need A Class A firefighter physical....only can be done at 6 places on long island.... not at a hospital or walk in clinic

cause NS is great at making things go there way....and I know some of you have needed a quick doctor appt
