Dropper post

Any mountain bikers out there that can recommend me a decent one? I don't want to spend more than $250 if possible.

30.9mm post with a 3 ring crankset so fitting a remote lever might be a pain in the ass having the second shifter on the bars. Id like to have one if it fits. Putting it on a 2016 Diamondback Recoil comp.

There's a thread called Official Mountain Biking Thread with lots of good stuff in it and helpful people, post there.

Also since I'm here and want to jack your thread. Do deity posts work as drop posts? like if I buy a bike (Spartan Devinci) that has the drop sea system stock can I swap out the actual post? That's probably a noob question but I am a noob so yeah

probably. most mountain bike parts are interchangeable. Just find the post diameter and find a dropper with the same measurement.

Oh really?

Try getting a new crankset for your bike or bottom bracket or headset or fork or rear suspension or wheelset or drivetrain......

Wait. I'm confused. You want to replace the dropper post in a Devinci Spartan for a non-dropper post from Deity? Deity doesn't make droppers.

That's basically what I was asking, sorry. This is my first summer MTB so I'm a noob. I wasn't necessarily planning on doing it I was just wondering if I could.

Why would you want to loose the dropper on a Spartan? While pretty close it is still not a full on downhill bike, and you likely got it over a DH bike so you can pedal up hills on occasion.

Read the thread dude. That's not what I want I was simply asking if the deitys have droppers which they don't.

You can swap out the stock dropper post for a Deity post no problem if you get the correct diameter seatpost.

However, a Deity seatpost will not have a dropper function, so if you don't want to stop at the top of a downhill, or bottom of a climb to manually open and close a quick release seatpost clamp, or pull out a multi tool to loosen and then tighten a seatpost clamp to get your seatpost in the correct position; keep your dropper post.

that's what I'll do thanks
