I have to say, my blackberry has really held up. It get dropped somewhere around 30-50 times a week and Ive gotten it completely drenched and it still holds on minus the occasional random self restarts. Im glad I bought mine

dry rice basically pulls/absorbs the water out of the phone.

to the op - my roommate (also a skier) works for US Cell...he's probably got a phone or two laying around. or if you live near, you can probably just go see him for an exchange.
