can someone give me an example of how they built a succesfull drop in ramp? I tried search bar but could not find any difinative answers. pictures and or plans would be helpful.
make a secure platform about 5 feet tall. Just build one, use common sense, it's easy. Then, put a little ramp down one side of it and a ladder on the other side.
heres a few pics of mine. i made mine 8ft tall with a 5'X5' deck. i used landscaping poles as supports. i put a couple 2x4s across the top to help supprt the weight better, then used any board that fit basically and put them around an inch or so apart, same thing with the ramp. after i covered everything in carpet. i connected the ramp with a eye hooks and then a bar running thru them. i wouldnt make the lader/stairs like i did, i just made it more for something to do. i only used 2screws on each side to hold the 2x4's in place, so far they have held but there s a lot of play in them. if youre going to make youre own ladder id get a 2x6 or bigger and cut notches out for pieces to lay across. its pretty sturdy and strong. to move it i tip it over onto a trailor and its never broken or have any screws rip out. ill try and get a few more pics for you tomorrow.
