im building a drop in for my backyard this winter and i was wondering what would be probably a minimum height for some decent speed with a completely flat ground?

depends on how big your yard is. mine is a bit above 7 feet with completly flat ground and my buddy is building his at 10 feet on flat ground but his yard is huge.

Mine is only 6.5 ft tall and i barely get enough speed. I'd do like 8ft to be safe, but the height isn't the only thing that affects the speed. Make sure the transition is super smooth and I'd use either msnow or horizontal PVC for the drop in, turf for the take off and definitely blue tarp for the landing

Well if you're only planning on using it for the winter with snowthen you only need it about 5ft tall.

But if you wanna use it for the summer listen to what the other guys said

Mine is 5.9 feet tall on flat ground. It gives me enough speed for a 13 foot rail. I would recommend to make it like 7 feet for less soaping and watering

Yes I'm using it in the winter not really in the summer, so I'm thinking 6 feet with piling up snow will be good, thanks for all the advice for the summer set ups also tho
