Drilling a hole in metal?

k guys so heres whats up. my friend and i were bored shitless today so we decided to go out and do a little parkouring. in our travels, there was a wall. after we climbed this wall, we discovered something beautiful. a stop sign post. it was basically screaming at us, telling us to take it away. so we did. now, tomorrow (saturday) we are going to build a rail out of our newfound treasure. there are holes on one side, but there are none on the other side. can a regular drill bit make a hole in this? if not, is there another way? kthx bye.

for me, i drilled a lot through thick ass steel. i start of by making a tiny hole with a strong bit. do not use a wood bit. then i go bigger and bigger until the whole is made. if you start off with the hoel you want, it might take a long timee.

actually we didnt even need to drill a hole lol. there was already one there! it was sick. but then i fell off and busted a hole in his naybors wall so now we are fucked

that's because the rail wasn't wax or the rail wasn't sharpen well enough.
