Dreaded shin bang

shave your shins... I used to get it from mogul skiing... shaved my shins... hair never grew back and ive never had shin bang since then..

--> FITTED BOOTS, FITTED BOOTS!!!

and if you get shinbang (from having boots too big, or just from a rough landing) heal that shit (with ice, cream) and take a day off or two, cos that shit will hurt for a month if you don't let it heal a minimum. And then even with fitted boots, you will be in pain.

If your local store sucks balls as far as freestyle orientated boots are concerned is it acceptable to purchase boots online and then get them fitted? I mean sure, it would be nice to do it all in person but ya know, not always possible :'(

Suppose I should just move out to the mountains where i'll get a much better selection :P Haha.

just get fitted for the boots that fit your foot the best. It doesn't matter what brand or if the boot is "freeski oriented" if it fits your foot the best then it will provide you with the best skiing experience

I want to be like "no you're wrong!" but i just can't haha. I don't even know why I was thinking freestyle derp derp. I think i'll probably look at something around a 100 flex though, not too loose and not too stiff.

Yeah, it was the same when I was just a lowly little snowboarder. I've been looking at Dalbello Rampages but i'm concerned they may come out a little narrow. Says that they have a width of 98mm, and i'm measuring out somewhere between 95 and 100. The problem is, my local shop doesn't have any in stock. I suppose I could go and inquire if they could get some in to try on. I don't know though, I should probably go and get measured out fully as well. Just every time I go in ther they say i'm a UK6 which is a load of crap and if i buy 6's my feet will 100% cramp up within an hour of riding.

Next chance you get, go to a boot fitter. Then get the boots you need on sale since stuff will be super cheap.
