Drawing on walls

Alright so I started drawing on my walls yesterday with sharpies but they all started to die because i was using them on the wall. Anyone know why this happens? I washed the wall off in the spot too, maybe it was the paint?

Assuming it's a latex-based paint, or something like that, I really don't know.. I think that has something to do with it. It's almost like the walls are too plasticy. But either way it's good you washed that off ASAP. Sharpies a bitch to paint over on account of the fact that it continuously bleeds through. If you don't believe me, check my damages fee from living in a dorm last year. Whoooooops.

yes their are paint markers that you can use to draw on your wall. i tried to use regular sharpies on my skis and i had the same problem, then i switched to sharpie paint pens which can be found at any art/craft store, or probably walmart, i used the sharpie brand and they worked great

maybe because you were holding it perpendicular to the wall and that makes the ink not flow?

i dont think its that cause i had the same problem drawing on my skis over spraypaint with a regular sharpie over spray paint. and that was with the pen pointing down
