Dragon APX vs. Smith I/O

I have the APX and love them! They have the best peripheral of any goggle I have ever used. Never fog and look awesome in my opinion. Not that the I/O isn't a great goggle though.

go smith, better lenses, and the apx actually has a hard frame, its just behind the lense, i think the I/O is more comfortable

worst fucking advice ever.... Smith has better optics? You're an idiot. Grab some dragons or oakleys if you want the best optics.

I'm not a big fan of Dragon but they APX is pretty sick (albeit maybe a little over the top...).

Heard really good things about the Salomon Xtend if you want good peripheral vision!

the xtends look sick, but i havent seen them anywherebut a lot of people like the i/o and a lot of people like their dragons so it would be a good choice either way.

I actually spotted a guy wearing the x-tends. He said he worked for salomon. Honestly, they look cool, but they look like if the Airbrake and the I/O had a baby

Tried them on in the shop, comfiest goggle I've ever put on.. Good peripheral vision. Feel so light on your face.

Go to the shop, take your helmet/whatever, and go try on a bunch of different goggles and see what you like best!

Yeah this is key. They're both very different in terms of shape and size, so you would be better off just trying them both with your helmet. Check out Anon's new Comrade goggle too, it's similar to the APX in shape/size and is cheaper but doesn't have the quick lens change feature.

I'm so sick of people saying "their" goggle company has better quality lenses! Seriously people the top models of each of the top brands ALL have great lenses. Buying a goggle is all based off of fit and preference!

why not just get eg2s i compared them to the apx and the 2s are more comfortable and to me they seemed to have more peripheral vision

Dragons sunglasses are shit when it comes to optical correctness, what the fuck would make you think that their goggles would b any better?

I have the Smith I/O and they are amazing. But just like picking out boots go with the one that fits you better and you like more.

Gotta agree with this guy, i used to have smith goggles but recently changed to some airbrakes which are about 10000x better

But what model did yOu have before? Because its not fair to compare a cheapo cylindrical lens with a mirrored spherical lens. The type of lens is more important than who makes it. I've used Smith I/o and I/oX and both had fantastic lenses, I actiallu liked some of the tints more than the fire iridium airbrakes I'm using now. However, I will note that Smith goggles consistently fit my face the worst of any brand.
