Does anyone here have Dr. Scholls gel things or any other little foot bed things in there boots? I know you can get really expensive foot beds and stuff that are made for boots, but does anyone have anything else.

gel wont be good because your skis will have like no response

i know theres a company that makes a footbed that you put in the toaster, and when its heated you put it in your boot and it coustom molds, its like $40 i think, but i am unsure where to find it

custom footbeds are very expensive (think over $150-$200 depending on how good it is). But they are and exact mold of your foot and they are availible through mail order

Another option, if you havent already done this, is to simply get your boots heat molded which will change the shape of your current footbed

They fit fine. its just that sometimes my back hurts, and i figured gel insoles or whatever would help on icy landings.

i got orthodics to and they work real nice but were kinda expensive. if u want cheaper stuff just go to walmart. they sell arch supports and cheap insoles

haha your back hurts because your body, especially your back, doesn't like going from 20 mph to a complete stop when you land =P simple physics. and Gel insoles won't help. The best thing you can do for your back is a) to stretch your hamstrings and back well after each day and b) ice it! I know that sounds like old man advice, but it is trainer advice

i think my back hurts lately, because i ski 6 or 7 days a week, and vomited one morning... and that strained my abs and back... then skied for 10 hours the next day... did an urban drop... then did it all over the next day. hahaha. so, Ice, and stretching would prolly be a good idea, and maybe taking a day off. i always forget to stretch because when i get to the hill i'm so stoked i just get out there and go. i try to stretch in 7th period, but i think i tighten back up when i go in the cold to my car.

I always tell myself to stretch while I'm at the lodge, but I'm so stoked to go skiing, I just put everyhting on and run outside. Then I try stretching while skiing down the hill.

my neck always hurts after skiing switch a lot, to the point where i cant turn my neck too far. sucks, i just figure i need to stretch better or something...but how the hell do you stretch your neck, other than looking?

I just started using the gel heel cup things because i have seriouse back problems and the dr said i had to if i wanted to keep going and so far they seem to be helping
