hey so i've already searchbarred and i haven't found anything that fits my situation.

i was skiing tonight and was doing a 1 [don't laugh at me] and i couldn't see the landing cause it was dark, and i fell and hit my head pretty hard and didn't get up for quite a while. i was wearing a helmet. so after i was mad dizzy and my head was killing me and having a little trouble seeing shit for a while. now i can see and im less dizzy but my head is pounding. now before i was drinking all day and was pretty drunk and hyped up on caffeine, so thats probably not helping.

so anyway how do i treat this cause i want this pain to go away so i can sleep tonight. or should i not sleep cause i heard that you don't want to sleep after you get a concussion? i heard its also not good to take pain killers cause you can clot or something?

btw this is my like 3-4th concussion, and i get immediate headaches if im tapped too hard in the back of the head. i've already been to the hospital for a concussion and got a cat scan and they said my brain was fine. don't really want to go again, i have shit to do tomorrow

someone tell me what i should do?

advil ftw, won't fuck you up, it'll get you through the nighti think it's been long enough since the impact that you won't die in your sleep*
*DISCLAIMER: if you die in your sleep it is not my fault, i am not a doctor, i know nothing other than personal experience

i would just take it super easy tonight and maybe take some tylenol/advil definitely not anything stronger and let yourself fall asleep. you should feel alot better tommorow. or just say fuck it and keep drinking, always an option for any problem

OMFG. Have you tried common sense? First off, let me be the proud advisor of some FUCKING WATER. Alcohol is a diuretic. Caffiene is a diuretic. Athletics + diuretics = dehydration. Dehydration + hitting your head = headaches, poor vision, and dry mouth.

Usually humans have this knowledge built in or have learned it by age 5, but I guess you were left out of the loop. Second, get a REAL doctor. It is possible you have a concussion. But don't take any pills.

if your brain is fine from catscan maybe try tylenol dont do advil or any ibuprofin because it will thin your blood i dont know what else to tell you, call your doctor actually and see what he says over the phone

dude i know what having a headache from being drunk feels like, im not an idiot. this definitely isn't just that, its feels worse than the concussion i had when i went to get it checked out.

i felt fine before i wiped out.

i just wanted to know what i should/shouldn't take.

thank you for your kind help, really appreciated the courtesy.

you have nothing to worry about... as long as you didn't black out after hitting your head then there is almost no chance you'll go into a coma. Just don't do any heavy thinking after a concussion and dont drink/drugs etc.

My god now that you -K'ed me you've really helped yourself out. I'm glad WATER is still on the list of things you should take. WATER feels really good when you hit your head and you're drunk and dehydrated and you haven't had any WATER at all that day. Why Are you Trying to sound Even more Retarded? Just take a second, drink some WATER, find a doctor, who will prescribe WATER and COMMON SENSE, and make me a fucking sandwich. How's that for courtesy?

This actually sounds like a great case to use a natural remedy for, smoking a bowl is the best way for me to get rid of a headache and it'll help you fall asleep. If not, at least you'll be high.

"btw this is my like 3-4th concussion"

im sorry but thats funny that you dont know for sure haha, i would say water and tylenol, then if you still hurt tomorrow call the doctor. maybe ice if your neck hurts, and dont use a heating pad, ice is better in the long run

go to a Dr. now my aunt got a concussion skiing had the headache thing for a few days and then about a week later passed out while she was driving and almost killed herself in a ditch. I talked to the doc and he said always see someone after a concussion, especially if it is not your first.

thank you all very much, i took some advil and went to sleep, im still dizzy and out of it and the headache lessened a little. if it doesn't get any better i'll go to the doctor.

and im on my fifth bottle of water now, thank you LULZ.

if you weren't such a dick maybe i would make you a sandwich, i make damn good ones.

^thank you, but it didn't work. its actually even lower.

went from a 6.20 now to a 6.12

hahahahah

whatever man i don't even care i just think it's funny

i wouldn't waste your time going to the doctor...unless you are missing body parts or deathly ill all they're gonna tell you to do is rest...blah blah blah....and then they'll bill you/your insurance company 300 for the visit. if he's cool you might get some good drugs out of the deal...but its usually easier to buy them elsewhere...and cheaper too.
i've found that vicodin cures pretty much all ski injuries...if 2 doesn't work...take 4...you won't feel anything for about 6 hours..haha
and here's some +k...now can I have a sandwich? I'm kinda hungry...

well it's a day later now so i hope you're feeling better and this might not matter anymore, but i'd say since u had a helmet on you should be aright. if u continue to feel effects the next time u ski just like landing or taking light falls it wouldn't hurt to see the doctor but i think you're cool. and i guess just check the helmet and make sure there's no fractures or anything that could impair its head saving abilities haha.

here you go- a no dollar foot long.

and that's funny skithesprings cause you were at 10 before i read your post. =]

thats what insurance is for, to take the hit from the docs office. why not go when youre not paying the 300 dollhairs?
