hi hi hi!
i know a good bit of you on here play hockey or at least skate in some way shape or form..well i recently threw my skates on and got horrible blisters on the insides of my feet, near the arch. they were doing ok until i skated on them the next day and then they popped HAWT.
anyway, i really need to get back on the ice ASAP and they haven't healed yet. i've never had an issue with ski boots and any other time moleskin has done the trick but right now they're still pretty tender and i can't risk them getting worse.
so ns, is there any magic trick to covering them so they won't rub? they're slightly scabbed right now so obviously i'd need to use some sort of gauze pad first then wrap.
any help is appreciated. i'm desperate :)

duct tape is more of a way to prevent the blister, but since it already popped you might wanna put like a piece of gauze or tissue over that just so ripping the tape off isn't brutal.

but normally no you wouldn't want that lumpiness, however minor. that would make it worse id think. the duct tape just kind of serves as another layer of skin over your. except thicker and more badass.

Gauze then wrap it with athletic rape. There is also stuff called second skin and they're little gel stamp things, whic you put on the blisters. Also. Put tape on the inside of skates where you are getting blisters.

I would also suggest the athletic rape. Works wonders.

Haha but I came in here to say duct tape as well. So many uses for it.

hmmm im gunna freeball it but i rollerblade guessing the problems are pretty similar. if you already got the blisters tape em up. i prefer bandaid then then 1 wrap around my whole foot with electrical tape. but from my experience more supportive footbeds keep your foot in place (not rubbing/flopping around causing blisters)when taping them up dont overdo the tape ...it will cause noticeable pressure points

band-aid has rhis thing called blister stoppers and work really well if you put them on after you have a popped bluster

honestly i usually just use hockey tape... but thats mostly because im such a badass (or too lazy to do it the right way) layer of cloth tape and then use clear for support because it sticks to itself better

I had this exact problem, my blisters wer elike the size of a quarter, bigger actually, then i went surfing and they turned into sea ulcers, didnt heal for ages, and i needed them to heal before i went to japan so to heal them real quick i took heaps of zinc and used a fake skin from the pharmacy. they helped then i put a normal heavy duty big plaster over the top of that. then once just healed applied heaps of aloe vera. hope this helps

the thing i do with blisters; don't pop em unless you have toand if you have to pop, clean the area with disinfectant, disinfect a needle and poke a hole in it, then drain all fluid with a sterile compress

for your case i asume its a raw blister, so popped + only raw flesh is left...

first of all, disinfect the damn thing regularly, then put a compeed/or other kind of sterile blister patch over it, then get a roll of sports tape (the simple clear white cotton tape will do perfect, its super strong and will hold up during your sports activity) then tape off the patch so it doesn't shift, now you should be fine to play....

don't forget to clean and disinfect open blisters regularly + i find the best treatment for them is to let em dry out, so if you can....

Moleskin

This stuff is made specifically for this and works amazingly. I cannot tell you how many backpacking, skiing, and other blister inducing activities have been saved for me from the atrocities of blisters by Moleskin.

skin lube wouldn't be a bad idea either, to reduce friction. That is, after all, why you got the blister in the first place.
