Dr. Newschoolers, am I dying?

About 2 or 3 weeks ago I got a very minor concussion. Nothing huge at all, so I didn't go to a doctor. However, ever since that day, whenever I take a shower, a fucking river of blood comes shooting out my nose. It's getting a little ridiculous now that this is happening twice a day, when I shower. I didn't think much of it at first because the nose bleeds were on and off for a few days but for the last week and a halfish, they've become very consistent. There's a few reasons why this whole thing is even weirder. The nosebleeds are not coming from my nose. Yes, the blood is draining out of my nose, but nothing in my nose is cut, and there is rarely any boogers and such in my nose. It's even weirder because I box, and get hit in the nose constantly, without ever getting nose bleeds. (no I did not spar while I had he concussion) It feels as though the blood is coming directly from my head. So, Dr., am I going to make it?
 
you must have really got hit in the head hard if you're coming to NS for help instead of a doctor
 
So you're bleeding out of your nose after getting a concussion and havent gone to the doctor?

i was in a rail jam and wrecked, thought i had a concussion but wasnt sure. i had the same problem, bleeding nose in the shower, however it only happened one day. but another day i was in the shower then just everything went black, but i was still concious. it only lasted a few seconds but it was scary. i would go to the doctor, it has already been pointed out in this thread multiple times
 
okay the only thing i read in this thread was the OP but dude

if i were you i would have gone to the fucking hospital asap. just thinking about that makes me cringe.
 
Its already too late to save yourself, you've got about 3 days to live so start pounding back the alcohol, heroin and lsd. Go out rockstar style
 
On a seriousness note, You should definitely get it checked out. I don't remember the details but I remember somebody died in the beginning of the season. I think he thought he was fine then went home and his friends found him dead the next day. That's definitely an unusual case but it's better to be safe then sorry.
 
Well, I survived the night. Going to a doctor today because I'm super sick but i'll bring up the whole nosebleed situation. Also, no nosebleed in the shower this morning, woo.
 
Are you waiting for an MD to respond to your thread instead of going to one?? I am also willing to bet if an MD responds he will tell you to go see a doctor. Go to Doc. bud
 
All head injuries should be taken seriously. According to the Mayo Clinic, when these symptoms are observed, emergency medical help must be sought immediately: severe headache, bleeding from the ears, nosebleed, loss of balance, confusion, loss of consciousness, arm or leg weakness, unequal pupils, seizures, slurred speech, repeated vomiting, cessation of breathing and bruising behind the ears or under the eyes. The Mayo Clinic recommends you call 911 when dangerous symptoms are present and while waiting for help, monitor the person for worsening symptoms and begin CPR if breathing stops. Avoid moving the injured person unless it is necessary. Try to keep her quiet and lying down with the head and shoulders slightly elevated if possible. Go to the dr retard
 
dude u might just have loose cartilage....i got slammed in the face by a soccer ball like point blank and for the next month i had random nose bleeds that would gush out blood and it freaked me the fuck out...im sure you'll be good. ik what you're going thru tho and it sucks dickk cheeseee

i love how hes finally going to the doctor just now that he's sick, the whole bleeding from the head through the nose thing is just an after-thought
 
Nah man, it's true. Having diabetes makes you a doctor. Proven fact. Having cancer makes you the equivalent of two doctors. Having AIDS makes you dead though. Shit sucks.
