Hey Guys,

Looking for some advice - so I am a relatively advanced skier (have been skiing since I was 4, now 33), however, have been snowboarding for the past five years and looking to go back into skiing. I live in Vancouver and will be skiing around here (Whistler, Cyrpress, etc.) and in Alberta on occasion (Sunshine, Lake Louise, etc.). I am 5'9.5 195-200 lbs and found a great deal on a pair of 184CM DPS Pagoda Piste 100 C2 skis. Do you guys think these skis are too long for me or will this work?

Thanks in advance!

Not too long at all but I will ask why you choose that ski in particular out of the dozens of 100mm waisted skis available?

dude said he got a deal

dps doesn't have a great reputation around these parts, one of the reasons being that they're so expensive. but honestly great skis. i worked at the factory a few years back and got a pair of skis outa it, wailer 112 184 length, i'm pretty much your same height, similar weight and they're awesome. wouldn't have ever bought em if i wouldn't have worked at the factory and got them for free essentially but they got solid skis for sure so if you got a deal, go for it

But what's a deal on DPS? They could be 60% off and still like $650 right?

closer to $500 but same same i guess. also depends on the build of the ski, their pagoda and alchemist builds are the really expensive ones but the foundation series is pretty comparable to other ski companies with skis ranging from $600-$800

im certainly not advocating for spending $1300 on a pair of skis, just tryna give my opinion on the dudes size is all. hopefully the deal he got is a good one

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Haha not a dentist, I've been curious about the brand back when I use to ski and basically got 40% off this pair. I was also looking for a do-everything ski and the reviews I've read have been positive.

Go for it then, 184 is not too long at you height and weight especially if you like to ski fast.
