Downloading a video to my mac (not from youtube)

hey im trying to save some videos to my computer but i cannot find anything for videos that are not from youtube. ive searchbar'd and googled but i still cant find anything. this video of the legend scott vail is an example of a video i cant get.

are you talking videos from NS and what not? or videos from DVD?
well from ns you want to right click (control click) and save to desktop...
from DVD get a program called Handbrake

no, just other vidoes posted on other websites. not NS or DVD's

You should be able to download absolutely fine, just ctrl click then download the linked file. You may not be able to play it through Quicktime though, so try downloading DivX
Is that the problem?

yea thats exactly what im trying to do, if i click the video i get ''settings and about adobe flash player'' and if i click the link to the video page, and try to download linked file i just download the page but not the video on its own which i what i want. hope that makes sense, but thanks for the help so far
