with d-f-d you really have to absorb the kink. Bend your knees a lot when you hit the flat. Try to thing like you are stepping on eggs when you reach the flat
Along with absorbing the kink when you get on to the rail just go completely parellel with it ollie and turn your skis. My old problem with falling of early was that I went on with an angle.
i agree, approach it with a little less speed, and pretend its a flat rail, so stay forward, you are much more likely to get bucked back and hip check, then you are to catch your front edge
