Um as X games commentator Mike D was wearing Adidas goggles. Anyone know whats up? (yes I know salomon and adidas are the same company)

 
Anything addidas does can be looked at from two stances. anything, including skiing.

Addidas has made some cheap, shitty shit. Trailer trash and second rate gear.

OR

Addidas makes classics. Look at Candide the year Tanner won his first X-Games. HE IS REPPING ADIDAS, and whats more is that they loook identical to the Quiksilver goggles... what up. now mike D and another icon are joining together.

Another thing... choose these two: a) Skiers sponsored by Addidas or b) Skiers sponsored by goddamned RALPH LAUREN!!!! (as has happened in snowboarding for awhile now).... and fuck dude, Adidas has the same dough as RL.

Are we sure that hes on adidas? Cause at the X games not only was he wearing adidas googles but a columbia coat also. I though he was on rotor sports. Maybe it was just the X-games way of repping products.

Adidas or their parent corporation also owns salomon, of which mike d is sponsored by. I bet they sent him the goggs, and maybe some cash? to try out and get them some press.

East - Rotor Sports killed their team (Douglas, Cummings, Fisher, et.al.) early in the season. Columbia is an official sponsor of World of Skiing. Rotor has since re-signed Douglas but not before a couple of the TV episodes were shot with him wearing the show sponsor's swag.

 
Wait a minute - is Douglas doing colour commentary at the X-Games wearing Columbia? Something's fucked up again.

Sponsors are so fickle... not that ANY of this really matters right?

 
I think everyone working at the xgames gets an xgames coat(some wear it, some dont), this year it must be columbia. My fried is a trainer there this year, and he got a columbia coat, fleece, and some other stuff.

 
Adidas goggles are actually pretty comfortable, I got to try them out at Tenney Mountain.

on the subject of goggle companies, has anyone tried the Columbia goggles? The Crist (sp?) brothers were wearing them for the skiercross, and I have never even heard of Columbia making goggles, just jackets that are great for sledding and snowlerblading....

Adidas sponsors some of the sickest mountain bikers for goggles and sunglasses. Guess they're just getting into skiing more.

i think adidas is a sponsor of the xgames, the reason being douglas wearing those goggles. MC gave me a pair of xgames adidas goggles last season that her brother got, cause he works for EXPN (i think thats right, anyone who knows different, please correct me.)

douglas is a god man, how could you that he is unstylie. just because he doesn't dress like tanner? douglas is a real skier, in it for life and representing the sport better than anybody.
