Doubling iTunes additions?

It seems like every time I import something into iTunes these days it gets put in twice. I have no idea whats going on especially because it only happens sometimes. I get all my music from bittorrent, so that might have something to do with maybe depending on who made the file I download but I can't figure it out and it's annoying because I have to go in select each song and delete it. Any ideas on a possible fix?

perhaps when it downloads it puts into into itunes but its like on your desktop so you double click it and it puts it in again

nah it doesn't automatically add. I have to drag and drop and I watch it load it twice, i have no idea how to fix it.

maybe it auto-converts your new songs to AAC or mp3?

Does it add the same song twice in a row, or 2 times at once?

Are there to hard copies of the file on your system drive?

Everything is downloaded as an mp3. and they add at the same time. It's just wierd cuz it's not the everytime.

I found it was more common when the torrent had artwork etc to...but still dont know why it does it.
