Double Flip haters.

I realize that I am a hater by creating this thread, but I would just like to state a point. Im sure you are all aware that Jon Olsson and Jacob Wester are now throwing the kangaroo flip, which is a double flip, and Rory Bushfield does switch double backflips. Travis Rice and JP Walker do variations of double flips on snowboards. Some people did double flips in movies such as John Symms and Tanner Hall. We all think its pretty cool right??

Well if you remember, the Schrab Brothers used to throw down the double flips and more recently, Mike Wilson has been doing his wilson flip in such events as the US Open big air, and they got nothing but hate.

So to all the haters out there, you are all retarted. Either hate on all the double flips or hate on none, you choose.

double flips are sick when they are done right with grabs and are smooth and not hucked. not to say that wilsons and schrabs were not sweet and obviously the beginning of something, they were pretty fast and tucked up and not grabbed.

and to Steve, i guarentee a kangaroo flip is A LOT harder than a switch 10.

The reason the Schrab bros. received hate is because they had no grabs and no style. Now Jon is doing his flip with a grab held the whole way through and flawless style. Last year at the Jon invitational the grab was the biggest criteria, which put Jacob up in arms because he wasn't grabbing his double flip.

I will never understand why people criticize things that they will never be able to do themselves.

Most poeple hate on them because they wont ever be able to do them, and it makes them mad they cant compete with the sickest pro's and more by just spinning. I know ill probably never be able to do them which makes me mad, but i still have sooo much respect for them because they are nuts. So dont hate just because youll never do them

I don't really think it's fair to say that you can't criticize something you can't do. People do that all the time after they read a book or watch a movie. People criticize art, technology, food; everything. Thus, I don't think skiing should necessarily be an exception.

That being said, I think double flips are pretty rad if done with a little creativity.

Double flips are so much harder than a switch 10. Switch 10's aren't bad..... but coming into a jump knowing your head is gonna go under your feet twice is scary.
