Double barrel summer set up

will putting screws through a 1 inch tall pvc pipe for a double barrel weaken the pipe? if so what should i do

It will not weaken it. I speak from experience.

No, just make sure you drill a hole the same diameter as the threads but not bigger than the head of the screw, that way it won't be as likely to crack

Drill a big hole in the top of the pipe that the screw head can fit through and under it drill a smaller one , then screw it into the wood using the smaller hole.
