Took long enough but the album is nuts. Earl is one of the best rappers out right now.

album of the year ?

anyone else buy it or plan on it ?

people who support an artist and don't have to ask their parents for money to buy an explicit album.

great use of ad hominem +K br0

also, why would i "ask my parents for money to buy an explicit album" when i can just torrent it for free

Vince staples verse on this is one of the best on the album. Pretty solid album, though I could have done with less domo.

I was dissatisfied with it. Just kind of that same lazy earl flow the whole record, drags on and gets a little boring. Say all you want about lyrics, if you can't deliver them in a compelling way it's kind of a wash.

Oh also the first verse on the record, the hell was earl thinking putting that on there... Turrible. The Tyler features dragged those songs down as did his production.

it's made for a good summer

even if people aren't fans of OF; consider the fact that Earl is 19 and spitting on tracks with DOOM, being produced by FlyLo. He's just starting.

Earl's "lazy flow" is meant to sound that way. In reality, Earl has arguably the best vocal control in popular rap right now.

Obviously it's supposed to sound like that, but is it effective? I don't think so, makes the album feel flat to me.

Yeah, because Earl's dark subject matter would be much complemented by a really lively and happy vocal delivery.

.

I refuse to listen to it until I buy it. I have heard Hive though since it was a single and if the rest of the album is packing heat such as that, I will be thoroughly enjoyed.

For Earl it is. His down-trodden delivery is a big part of what makes this album darker in mood. Like I said, a happy, feel good Earl song is not something he is really capable of doing. I think sunday is as close as you're going to get to that.
