Dont give me the bootfitter stuff because i dont have any shops near me that carry them. do they fit similarily to the SPK?

I hate to say searchbar, but this is the one of the most discussed topics on NS. Come on now.

And to answer the question... NO, the fit is completely different, and by completely different I mean not the same at all.

spks are made for people with wide/fat feet, so they are very wide and fat. fulltilts on the other hand are made for people with skinny/slim feet, their shells are smaller. if you feel locked in and comfortable in spks, you will not be able to ride in fulltilts without some discomfort.

Dalbello makes many different styles and models and fits of boots. I'm assuming you're talking about the Il Moro or Krypton series, in which case, NO... again. Seriously there are tons of threads about this. And based on the questions you're asking, you should go to a shop and talk to a bootfitter.

no not really actually. i fit spk's quite well and i was planning on purchasing some before i found out a local shop carried full tilts last year. the heat moldable liner makes it so it can actually fit alot of types of feet as long as there not very very wide.

hate to break it to you bro,...... but those two boots are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum SPK's have last size of 106mm (which is the widest ive ever seen/ they are the same last size as most rental boots) Dalbello krypton shells(il moro, rampage, krypton) have a last of 98mm/ that being the narrowest width in the industry.

the spk's fit well new because the liners are super thick, ski 20+ days in them and youll be havn serious issues once the liner packs out. if you fit in full tilt/ dalbello krypton shells then you should never waste your money on spks

SPK = salomons poor attempt at making a ski boot that fits everyone/ i personally lost a ton of respect for salomon after spks came out and they didnt bother to tell anyone that they only truely fit wide feet. its like they didnt care if you wasted your money

if you know anything about boots making a skiboot "fit every foot" is laughable at best

hate to burst your bubble bud but 98mm last is NOT narrowest in the industry. Some ski boots come with a 95mm, 97mm and I have seen 92mm last from Lange. Its not just the measured width that one needs to consider, its the shape of the boot that matches your foot being the most important factor. People get too carried away on ,"oh, you have a C width foot, you need Boot A because its 101mm last." OR you have a double E you must grab some SPKS,"

This paints an incomplete picture. I have had both dalbellos and spks and after some stretching of my Dalbellos the width felt more comfortable. Having said that though, they gave me bad shin bang when it gets cold. Anyway, I digress.

Try boots on, its simple as that. There are some boots that will practically cripple one person, that'll feel like those coveted Nike 6.0's, to others. What works for one person wont work for everyone. There are so many other variables than manufacturers claimed last width that need to be considered when purchasing boots

eg; volume over instep, ankle room, forward lean, height of the cuff on the leg, flex, warmth, whether they leak, number of buckles, buckles vs cables, whether a person pronates/supinates, leg length differences, weight, ability, budget etc etc....

Try one on each foot one full tilt and one spk and you'll know which is better for you..
