Don't get frostbite.

I did my boots up too tight and cut off circulation to my foot last Saturday at Marmot Basin. My foot was numb all day so I didn't feel how fucking cold it got.

Now I have 2nd degree frostbite and it fucking sucks. My toes are like balloons and I basically have to use crutches because walking on my heels looks dumb as hell and takes forever. It's going to be like a month before I can even get ski boots on again.

I've had frostbite. your toes will never be the same again. Electronic boot heaters are a MUST. Not the cheap ones, the $500 ones. My toes get wayyy to cold even on warm spring days. It's a bummer but keep a close eye on your toes, go in the lodge when you feel them getting cold, etc.

The shitty thing with frostbite is one you fuck it up to an extent, shits kind of fucked.

Hopefully it all heals up decent op.

Yo you ski at Marmot Basin? I ski at Marmot Basin, that's sick dude. Frostbite isn't though...last month I was skiing in like -31ish and got frostbite on my nose, it sucked quite a bit and a bunch of skin on my nose was peeling lmao.

Yeah the shitty thing about frostbite is you're fucked for life now. Look into a boot heating system...either liners, socks, or footbeds. Because you probably won't be able to ski without it.

My dad got frostbite when he was 16 on his hand. Super sensitive still and he's almost 53. Has to take lots of care to keep his hands warm.
