Halloween is coming up and partying is sure to be had.I lost a friend today to drunk driving. He was a passenger in the car. All 3 were wasted. The driver missed a turn, hit a sign, the sign came through the windshield and killed my friend. Snow is tough enough to drive in, please, oh please make the wise choice and walk, cab, or sleep wherever is safe. Just don't drink and drive.
Have a safe and happy halloween.Sincerely,Pete

I don't want to ruin the current early season stoke from early season snowfall. Just want to send today's experience with a friendly reminder of what we all know not to do.
Be safe and enjoy this October snow if you can.

Even if you think you are not drunk, you might still be.

Best thing you can do if you feel there is a chance you might drive, is give your keys to someone else. Or you can lock them in the truck if you plan on taking a cab home and getting it the next day. Don't think it makes you look stupid to have to give your keys away, because hey, that's what drunk people are. Some people have the sense not to when drunk, others don't. You will only look really stupid if you drive drunk.

Fuck no, I hope this reminder "ruins" everyones early snow. Friendly reminders are never taken very seriously.

If you plan on driving drunk, stop for a minute and think is all the time behind bars, and possible eternal guilt for possibly taking someones life, worth it. Call a friend to come get you, theres always someone. Hell if you are a college kid many times the school will have some sort of free service..

word. I just had two friends hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street. both had serious head injuries. i'm so thankful they're still alive, it could have been much worse

There's a lifetime of skiing to be had, kids. The thought of putting it on the line in any way for a Halloween party makes me want to cry. Please, please, don't do it

Do not drink and drive I got a dui this summer and trust me it is not worth the money or the disappointment from friends and family. Plus the feeling that you could of cost your life or someone else's life is terrible. Get a designated driver or a cab trust me its worth it.

Great post. A night on someone's uncomfortable couch is way better than the alternative. My sister got t-boned a few days ago by a drunk who was driving a brown car at night with his headlights off. He ran a red light, hit her and then drove off. Her Mini is toast. She's lucky she wasn't hurt bad.

Pete, i'm sorry for your loss, but why in the FUCK did you ridicule me on end about getting pissed off for a dude drinking and driving in a teaser, as well as put magoon on a pedestal for drinking and driving, if you had suffered such a loss. Fucking ridiculous dude...

Aside from that, I agree with the message, pleases don't drink and drive, it really is not worth it. After your bail, attorney's fees, and spikes in insurance, shit on average costs you around $30 grand. Not to mention you're putting other people's lives, as well as your own, in danger. Be smart.

i just re-read and realized you lost your friend today, so that rant was not necessary. sorry for your loss man.

DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.

sorry for your loss man, I too hate drunk driving and totally agree that it's the dumbest thing you can do.

I had no idea he participated in drinking and driving, I thought he only got wasted on 40's at autograph signings. . . . .

Oh wait he does both

Sorry to hear your loss man. Same thing happened this summer to a friends of mine. This message can't be stressed enough, they have been saying it for years and people still do it. Even if you don't mind putting your own life on the line, don't risk other people's lives.

because sober people drive with their lights off, run red lights, and flee the scene..

its either he was under the influence or didn't have insurance. probably both

Thanks Mr. Huck
But seriously ++vibes man its hard losing loved ones to the stupidity of others

for sure. and you know what looks really dumb DUI. sorry 4 the loss.
IF you need to party hard pack a sleeping bag anyone who throws a party shouldn't mind you crashing out. when you wake up garb some Gatorade and get over the hangover. (Halloween doesn't allow for a recovery day). If you go to a bar call a cab or tell the bartender they have free services most of the time. As a general rule if you think you might be drunk, you are period.

I completely agree. Pos vibes to you and the Family. My uncle was killed by a drunk driver, its serious shit. Please dont do it!!! Great post.

You are not ruining anything, we all need to hear it from time to time. It's not worth it, even if you do it anyways you know it in the back of your mind. However if/when something happens (which CAN happen) you can NEVER forgive yourself when you know better. That's what it boils down to.

I feel the same way. two of my grandparents were killed in a head on collision with a drunk driver when i was younger. how would you feel if you A. died or B. was the reason that other lives are completely changed. oh and buckle up.
