Unless you never want to use another board again

http://www.pennyskateboards.com/

I got mine because my skateboard and my longboard were in calgary. Used it for about a month and now everything else feels huge and awkward. Seriously this thing can weave around people better than anything else out there. It's sketchy as fuck going down big hills and in bowls which makes it super fun.

Haha I've got a real plastic board from way back when, got it a a yard sale for 5 bucks. Next time I'm home I'll try and put proper trucks and wheels on it, cause the ones from whenever it was made are stupid. Either super tight or the hangar falls off, and the bearings are missing half their balls.

I'd love to see non skilled hipsters falling off that thing all day. There's no way they'd be able to take it at even mild speeds. And the sharp turns would probably send them flying off.

This. Im skeptical of the actual carving it will do, like in the blog they backed the car over it, and it looked as if it took quite a bit of that van to bottom it out.

So small shouldn't even be called a skateboard. A long skateboard is called a longboard. A tiny skateboard is called ghey? Very hipster, and very poser, expect to see these in Urban Outfitters soon the ultimate poser hipster store.

what the fuck is a hipster magnet? and of course I am not kick turning to make sharp turns. It's just a fun fucking skateboard.

Seriously just try one and you will know what I mean.

Pretty much how I feel about my Original. I literally never ride my other skateboards anymore, the Original trucks are just too much damn fun. Seems like they would be pretty epic on one of those decks actually.

saw these in zumiez and instantly pictured myself slipping off if my feet were wet cause theres no grip tape

yeah i was worried about that too but it hasn't happened yet. I am still trying to figure out a way to add grip though.

Still though it has a suprising amount of grip and you will definitly not fall off when it is dry.

a kid at my school has one that he can fit in his back pack they are the size of a note book kinda..... but i have yet to ride one

buy paint on polyurethane and a brush. crush up some glass, put some poly on the board, apply glass, let dry, add more poly until it feels good.

yeah but this board has like really deep grooves on it so it would not be like painting it onto a smooth surface. It would weigh a lot and crack and fall off probably. I would have to grind away all the little checkers to do that.

oh man these look like the perfect shred stick to get me around campus. my longboard kinda gets in the way in some of my super busy classes.

I feel like it's probably an overpriced joke. And I own shit from back in the day my uncle got me some when I was little.

This thing is probably over priced for your average hipster.

lol

Just picked this bad larry up....great edit of it getting skated below the pic!

I didn't realize it was a trend. Plus it's like a third the cost of a real longboard so really not that expensive.

I enjoy small longboards "minis" because I grew up surfing (with a shortboard not a longboard) and using regular sized skateboards , the minis are a great way to have that surfing/long boarding feeling in a skateboard. it's like a very versatile and maneuverable and convenient longboard once you get good at it.

So for me buying a mini isnt a waste

I did. I had no idea it was trendy when i bought it or I would not have made this thread to share it with everyone. I don't know what you mean by "go out of thier way" I mean I did have to walk to the back of the shop to pick it up when I was at the counter buying a new surfboard.

For me it was definitely not a waste of money. Even if it was, whatever it's less half a days work.

I really don't even get why I am defending this though. If you don't think you would enjoy the board, don't get one. If you think it will make you look uncool, and you are concerned about that, don't get one either.
