This is going to sound like I'm complaining but why do you get so much shit for progressing from a gaper to a park skier, I mean really, is it that hard to support someone who is just getting into the sport and trying to progress. If anything progressing skiers are taking gapers off the hill.

honestly this isn't news. just go skiing and worry about yourself. kids that piss and moan about the douchenozzles in the park being mean to them are just as annoying as the douchenozzles are.

I kinda have to agree. For the kids who actually have park skis trying to slide a box, no hate! Keep going if that's you! For the kids with racing skis on bombing the hill and going over the lips with no intention of doing actual park and progression, FUCK YOU

Honestly, the thing that helped me the most was not giving a shit what other skiers thought of me. was stuck at a level of no progression because I was afraid of hearing other people give me shit for sucking. Then one day I decided to say fuck it and have fun. You'll eventually find a super nice crew out there.

Dude first and foremost, don't let it get to you.

To be completely honest, I'm not proud of the fact that people love to jump on top of someone who is just getting started and give them a ton of shit. I mean really, we should embrace new people getting into the sport, and assist them with embracing all that is awesome in what we do.

If we were smart, we'd do this in a big way, and who knows... maybe we'd even survive as a viable option for a person just getting started.

However, that isn't the way. Part of the experience of getting into all of this is slightly akin to a hazing ritual... sure what you go through is unpleasant - but if you survive it you're part of the team.

My advice to you is ignore the fucking haters, keep ripping, and keep that chin up when you take a bit of shit on the site.

Hopefully in the end, we all manage to ski together and actually grow this revolution in our sport which saved us from how fucking lame it all got in the '90s.

Shame on the rest of you.
