So the company I work for donates $1000 each month to various charities, and this month I suggested the CR Johnson Foundation/High Fives, and they all liked the idea. So stoked to be able to honor CR!

hell yeah man, that's really awesome of them and of you to suggest it.
what company do you work for? that's a really cool philanthropic initiative they have going

so you're the one that calls to ask me to take a survey! jk

props man! good to see companies still donating even in this economy.

Do you ask them to do it so you could make a thread on NS and whack off too all the comments you receive?

That was $1000 that could have been donated to a charity that does something.

haha whatever man. The donations go directly to High Fives, which actually does do stuff. Everybody here worships CR and I thought it would be cool to mention it

great products, great business model

Yeah because we all know high fives foundation doesn't do anything. Helping severely injured snowsport athletes get back on their feet and actually get back to the sport that nearly killed them really isn't doing much, huh?

Helping guys who spent their young adult life getting paid for a recreational activity is hardly doing something. There are organizations who help people who either a) actually need something, or b) actually have done some thing.

High Fives is a great charity, and very deserving.... I'm sure CR and Roy would and will be stoked by this.... keep spreading the word.

this is obviously a battle you are not going to win. are there charitys out there that are "more deserving" than this one, possibly.

do any of them have as much in common with our lifestyles, what we all love to do, and embrace the life of one of the best and most influential skiers ever? no.

again this isnt the thread to bitch in.

And to the OP great job thinking of that,

Well High Fives sure as hell won't, I never got paid to ski. The help those who were paid to partake in luxury sports.

So rather then that $1000 going to help a firefighter who got hurt saving people in a burning building, it is going help get some guy who never did anything for society go back to doing nothing for society.

Like I said, High Fives is a waist of a charity.

So guys like CR who have tragic accidents werent doing anything for society before they got hurt, and never did anything when they recovered and came back to the sport.

Nice argument.

What are you his mom?

man why don't you pull a grand out your ass and out do him then

i mean if donating money is such a crime, make it "right" and do something

Honestly dude, this is some of the stupidest fucking shit I've ever heard from you. It takes a special person to find something negative from a selfless charitable act.
