Domain vs. Revival

hey guys. wondering how domain's handle on the downhill vs. the revival. i do park, but also alot of downhill stuff. or is there a better option within the same price range (ish).

thanks

The revival stiffer ski then the domain. It is more designed towards hitting big jumps and ripping all mountain while the domain is leaning towards more pure park, rails and smaller jumps. both have tip and tail rocker

Both are unreal in the park but if you want a better downhill ski, i would definitely go with the revival

yea go revival if your not basically a hundo percent in the park. revival has a wider waist and such and yea much stiffer.

The waist is the same on both of them.

Only diffrence is a stiffer flex and wider tip on the revival.

Basiclly, If you want a symetrical ski, go for the domain, or if you want a non symetrical ski go for the revival.

Easy as that!

Heres a review i posted in another thread-
I have ridden the revivals for about 15 days, and they are pretty fun. If you are looking for a light, low swingweight ski, then this is not it. However, if you are a strong skier then you should be fine in the park. The ski is fairly heavy (i like heavyish park skis because i can feel where my skis are in the air), and is really damp. It is not very poppy. The skis are super stable and have a pretty stiff flex right under fooot and it gets softer the closer you get to the tips and tails. At first the ski is fairly stiff, but then it breaks in and gets medium soft in the tips and tails. Its a fairly fun ski. As for durability, they are a k2 which are usually bombproof. Mine have two edge cracks and the base and edge are delamming in the tail. I ski really hard though, and went through a phase where i disastered every rail, so take the durability part with a grain of salt. The rocker is very minor and i really only notice it in pow (the revivals are suprisingly fun in crud and pow) and on butters, these butter like a champ for a solid ski. The ski is mega stable on landings and feels like a heli pad when you land. Hope this helps out with your decision!

i really don't find them to be all that damp, i have no issues ollieing up onto high boxes and rails from flat ground.

I find them to be really damp, as in they absorb a lot of things that would make other skis chatter. They are not poppy, but who really needs a poppy ski, just pop right and youll be fine.

Revivals are the shit man. I have them core center and at 179 height (keep in mind im 178) just had a three day trip which was pow crazy these skis KILLED it. I was amazed at their ability to rip drops, jumps and pow so well. you wont regret it.

i have tried both and i liked the domain better... i found it alot funner and more playfulhowever you can find revivals on evo for 399 right now

After I skied the first proto Revival, I went home and took my bindings off my Extremes. Jib Rocker is the shit.

The revivals are the best skis ive ridden. i got the iron maiden limited editions as soon as they came out and they look bad as fuck imo. i love the rocker on em allows you to ride a center mounted park ski in the pow and crud. and the topsheets wont chip as long as you dont ask em to.

go to a local shop and try some stuff on.... there should be some good prices and sales this time of year

i forgot about the topsheets. Definately the most durable topsheet i have ever seen. By now i usually have the core exposed most of the way down the ski, but these have no big chips yet.
