So im going on a trip to the trophy hut in Wells Gray in BC, and i dont have a touring boot. I have skins, skis and a touring set up except all i have for shoes are my full tilts.

So i turn to you NS, will i be okay just loosening the straps to be a make shift "walk mode"?

you'll be fine. it's not ideal, but I went years touring before getting a boot with a walk mode. Honestly it's one of those things. Without a walking mode, you don't know what you're missing. When you get a boot with walk mode, you'll never want to go back.

this.

Just do the full tilt walk mode: cables under the tongue, just holding the liner in place, powerstrap just holding the tongue in place. It's way less than ideal but I did some terrible things with my full tilts like that last year.

7 days is a bit long for trekkers and full tilts. bring second skin or some kind of blister kits. you're gonna need it.

100% agree, i tour with the salomon xpro 120 which has no walk function, granted the longest trip i have done so far has only been a couple of days but with my ankle tightly in place with reduced movement within the boot it was fine.

The only thing that i would look out for is the formation of eventual hotspots on areas of your foot that move around more in the boot. For that just bring moleskin and band aids to cover up small blisters.

A 7 day trip in full tilts? Sounds like my nightmare.

ive done a 14 day ski expedition in the canadian rockies on full tilts and dukes so anything is doable.

thats good your on that style of binding man youll be more than fine! if you feel a hot spot on your foot, treat it before its a blister and youll have a great time.
