Does Becoming scientifically literate expel religion?

Are you fucking retarded I've been an atheist since I was 8 years old. You asked me if I could name something in religion that defies science so I named 3 which everyone for some reason thought I was naming things that "disprove science" or something. Literally we are on the same side here I got confused and thought you were trying to argue with me that science and religion don't contradict which I apologize for but then everyone got confused when I was trying to argue that science disproves all those miracles in the Bible. Literally you don't need to be a fucking asshole about it though I'm an average fucking teenager that has to go to school with hundreds of bible thumping lunatics and I thought "oh this thread looks like a nice place to hangout with some similar thinkers" but I guess not.

I'm sorry you're such a weak fucking pussy.

Lol. Im sure you had lots of life experience as an 8 year old to make the decision to be atheist.

Oh trust me all I had was religious teachers trying to push their religion down my throats and telling me fairytales were real...that's enough to make anyone an atheist

Do you even know what athiesim is

Yes, atheism is the complete lack of a religion. I would say I got that bracket pretty well considering I have a complete lack of religion.

No, atheisim is not a lack of religion, it is essentially believing that there is no higher power, a lack of religion is being Agnostic

Edit, Just because you dont believe in religion does not make you an athiest

Well I don't believe in any gods or a higher power and certainly don't have a religion

Lack of belief that they exist is not exactly the same as believing they dont exist, but sure I see where you are coming from now. Onto your actual argument, i would like to state that I am an engineer and religious and to be an engineer you need to be very scientifically literate. Your previous argument that everyone freaked out about is not qualified because not all religious people believe those stories literally. Now onto the point of this thread, anyone who recieves a good education and actually wants to learn about science will either A: reject what they cant prove or disprove OR B: will just take it for what it is and work on things that are actually helpful and relevant. Either way Religion in itself is not the cause of scientific illiteracy and thats not to say it can not be used as an excuse to hide fron science. The cause of scientific illiteracy is completley because public schools in the united states can be terrible. If you dont believe that just look at the news, twice in the last year there have been female teachers having sexual relationships with their students in public schools and imagine how many cases male or female go unsaid, thats messed up, and on top of that these people have the responsibility to teach all of their students. I mean some people are amazing teachers but some disgrace their role in society and that is ridiculous.

Honestly thank you for actually understanding my point and I agree with most of what you said there :)

So sounds that the general consensus is with any amount of education the conclusion that the Christian God outlined in the Bible cannot exist in any form. I see how you can believe in a high power in general but non that fit the bible based definition.

Pulling from NDT the argument can be made that if there is a God that he is either not all good, or not all powerful.

As far as Mormonism goes... well I'm not diving into cults in this thread.
