It's like my favorite thing to do and I was wondering if anyone else was into it as well?

That's NS member **Steeze*Whiz**. He rips and rips hard. All in his backyard, same place where we make the big backyard park in the winter. Kind of disappointing that he has such a sick setup and not many people to ride it with. I need to get the balls together to get into DJ in the summer. Loving riding XC single track though...
 
That setup was fucking sick, I would love to ride that sometime. You should give it a shot, find some place with some small tabletops and from there its amazing. I haven't been rididng long, but its so flowy. Its a feeling like no other. Do you live anywhere in the northeast?

God damn I wish I lived close to a place like that. I'd be there every day. I actually built a shit ton of stuff like that in my backyard and at a dried out pond near my house when I was younger but grew out of it all.
 
Nope, it's actually at a new indoor bike park called "The Wheel Mill" in pittsburgh PA. It's similiar to Ray's, but they just opened up this year. I couldn't believe how luck I was that something like that would open up within a mile of my house. I got to help volunteer to build the park and it was a great time, if you are ever in the area you should check it out. they even rent out bikes.
 
Started racing BMX when I was 4 til I was about 14 and bounced around from riding trails and street alot in that time too but I sold my bike a couple years ago which I really regret now. I would love to get a new one if it didnt cost an arm and a leg.

That's all I used to do. I still have my dk 8 pack in the garage as well as a bunch of other pieces of bikes.

Had a pretty extensive trail network on my friends property. When you make friends with a construction company that delivers you topsoil it def helps in making things huge. Also used to pillage this christian resort our parents worked at across the road for all kinds of goods. Used to work everyday on those trails all day.

Once everyone moved away or stopped coming up I didn't have anyone to ride with. Road my mini ramps for a couple years and then ended up stopping. I miss that shit though. This thread makes me want to go fufanu something
 
Get out there and fucking do it man, I ride alone all the time because my friends just don't seem to enjoy it as much as me.
 
I did but I was the little kid in the bunch. Those jumps were fucking gnarly. I mean I liked to go balls out sometimes but some peer pressure def added to my riding. I hit the trail a couple times after before it go raped by weather and 0 upkeep, it scared me to an extent and wasn't as fun as riding with a group.

I don't even know if I could fit on my bmx these days. I still have some old VHS movies with some of the old school dirt riders. I'm ok with not doing it anymore, def going to be something that will make me smile every time there's a thread like this though.

If I had trails of that caliber close to me I would pick up freeriding in a second. Thats one of the coolest riding styles I have ever seen but I've never had a chance to give it a shot.
 
what is like a solid and cheap bike to start doing this dirtjump thingy? there is a pretty legit park like half a mile from my dorm and since i bike kinda alot (more XC and FR and a little bit DH) i am obviously interested but never quite got there to do it and probably wont if the bikes are too expensive
 
What type of price range are you talking about? If you are looking to buy something used you could probably get something fairly decent for around $500-$600.
