so here's my problem, i'm into grunge and old school punk. and of course zepplin and pink floyd, and all my friends dont like it. they all listen to rap. i had one kid tell me to turn off 'teenage wasteland' by the who in school cause he said it was the 'worst song ever'. i wanted to cry, does anyone else share my delema?

does that mean you don't want a fish sandwich

hell yeah, I hate when people cant appreciate good music. Im a huge fan of Zepplin and I do tend to like Motley Crue, but I digress. Anyway yeah my roomates all into that rap shit and hates skiing I wanna kill him.

haha thats just about every day now for the past week ive read a thread where someone fucks up the spelling of zeppElin.

but as for your music problem, thats gay. i listen to rap (not mtv party rap shit) but my brother listens to phish, the dead, the who, the doors, zeppelin, all those bands, and i have a deep appreciation for them. i like listening to them, i just dont choose to all the time. but when i listen to the radio (ugh, if i ever do i hate the radio) then i listen to my local classic rock station cuz anything else on the radio is garbage

Firstly, I have to agree with Elgato on this. It's really annoying.

Secondly, I find that most people who don't know sweet fuck all about music try to arbitrarily promote some form that occurs to them as enjoyable, and call it 'good'. It's not 'good', you retard. You wouldn't know good music if it assraped you. Bad taste is a bloody disease.

myeah... i moved from france to the US bout 4 yrs ago, and i find it hard to find ppl who like the same music as me as well...i like electronic shit a lot...but im open to anything though...to give you an idea, i have everything from Toby Keith, to MC Hammer, as well as Beethoven, Blood hound gang...hell, i have so much stuff, its insane...but whenver i play electronic suttf, people fucking flock and piss me off..

ya if u listen to the who and call it teenage wasteland, well i just dont know what to say, but ya seriously, in grade school i got made fun of ridiculously for listening to classic rock and like the beatles, but wait i get to high school and then its like the fuckin cool thing, all the kids only listen to zeppelin, floyd, grateful dead, and they think they are all hardcore classick rock guys, just pisses me off cuz then im tryin to listen to them but all these kids think its cool to do that, and its awesome, cuz my friends were totally all about punk and shit, but now they are starting to listen to awesome classic rock, as a matter of fact allman brothers are comin to rockford illinois, gona be sweet

i'm the same way as that teambosquet guy

my dad is all about the classic rock, i basically grew up listening to it, i listen to almost all hip hop now, but if i'm ever listening to the radio it's always on the classic rock station

i don't have any like pink floyd or zeppelin cds, but i find the music to be good, and i'll listen to it
