Does anyone else think that this piece of advice does not work for them?

"visualize the trick, see yourself doing it"

every time i envision myself doing a trick, whether its 1st person or 3rd person, i eat shit. every time i just go for it and dont this about it, i stick it. everything else works for me, like popping, pressure on the toungue of the boot, and spotting over the shoulder. but i cant envision the trick for shit

idk its all personal i guess... i think visuallizing helps cause it gets your mind feeling it.. haha sounds lame but works for me..

haha me too, also allot of people slow it slowed down soo much in their heads they think of it being super lazy and (like in a movie) and don't throw it hard enough or anything

I always have to think of what I'm doing, I'm not very good but if I want to do like a 540 I have to think to do a 3 plus another 1 and really think about landing it properly.

Visualization helps me alot but I do some of my other hobbies (archery, billiards, etc) that way so it comes pretty easy to me. Half a second before I hit the lip/rail/whatever my mind just goes clear though.

You don't need to visualize the trick, you should visualize the pop and set. If you can get that right then you don't need anything else.

If I visulize is usually just makes me get scared or w/e thinking about it. I usually just say fuck it, clear my mind, and try it. Works many a time.

i just think about what i have to do, but i dont envision what it would look like when i do it . like i think "dont forget to pop hard"

i have to visualize with different pretzel combos and when im learning new shit. maybe your just not a visual person but a kinetic person.
