Does anyone else not understand rap lyrics?

I would say I'm a pretty legit hip hop head. But it usually takes me (depending on the song) like 3 times to actually understand what the lyrics are. Unless.. I really focus on the lyrics and then even on the first time around I can be like what is he saying. Like as I write this, I'm listening to a new cd, and like I can listen to the lyrics and get a good idea of what is going on, but I'm still a little lost as to what the rapper is saying with all the background music, ebonic accent, and unfamiliar slang terms. I mean I'm sure that if I listened to this song a few more times I would be able to follow it and via its place in context I will even be able to understand he slang.

But yea, is anyone else unable to comprehend the lyrics on a good amount of rap songs the first time around?
 
in a way i know wat u mean.,,..not at all. heavy metal is shit and hard to understand. rap is just words. good rappers make you think a little. they will say thinks such as "she gives me head with no hands. Shes my bluetooth bitch." thats the good rap, that rap that requires thinking, and may not be understood at first, but then you get aha.
 
I don't listen to mainstream stuff. I understand the rap on my ipod, I can quote the greatest, but when I hear a new rap song sometimes I'm like what.
 
it think he is one of the hardest to understand, i guess since i'm not into weezy as much as others, i get bored listening to him. There's way better music, and "Jr. isn't the best" Sorry birdman
