when you heard about 9/11?

I was in front of my school, my friend told me, it was the second day of 8th grade
 
6th grade art class, I was so stupid then I had no idea of the true destruction and chaos
 
i remember they didnt tell us in school and i went home and my parents were on the couch looking sad and i asked what happened and i looked on the tv which was the news obviously and found out.
 
4th grade. our teachers werent allowd to tell us what happened so i remember watcing it on every channel for 5 hrs

 
8th grade math class. heard something from a kid at school. they our teacher told us everything, although she was not suppose to.
 
6th garde, just after we got to school. The teachers werent allowed to talk about it. Alot of kids knew, and some were afraid our school was going to get hit. I was scared to go outside. We didnt have recess that day.
 
i was getting on the bus to go back to school for one of my coop classes

7th grade i think, the bus driver said that something really bad had just been done to "my" people"

i was really confused, noone told us what was going on, driving home i remember laughing because there was a line of 50 cars at the marathon station filling up, and then i remember being home watching TV looking for something other then the terrorist attacks, because i was overwhelmed, i couldt take ten more seconds of it

 
i just woke up for school and turned on the news and saw the 2nd one hit right when i turned it on. i used to watch mtv music videos before school. so i turned on the tv. first tower was on fire and i was like insane then reporters were like another plane is coming then bam
 
I was at the dentists. It sucked, cause the lady who was cleaning my teeth was so scared and nervous that little metal pokey thing went into my gums like 500 times.
 
i was actually having sugery when itt happened i dont remember the day at all. Its wierd thet everyone knows exactally what they were doing and i new nothing about it for almost 3 days
 
6th grade ms. durako... i was one of like 4 kids left in the school after it happened cuz my mom felt it unneccessary for me to come home, even though the pentagon was only a few mins from the school
 
i remember i was sleeping and i was rudely awakend, by my parents yelling at me to get out of bed cause a plane crashed into one of the world trade center buildings, and i was like... hmmmmmm... its not april... god damnit i guess this means i'm gonn have to get up... go out, glad i did when i did cause i got to see the seccond plain crash into the building, like when it did... and then i was like hopefully this means i dont have to go to school... but nope i had to go.. god damn commies
 
8th grade world history class. my french teacher came running in and said she had an important announce ment and said there was just a terrorist attack on new york city and she explained all the details she heard on the news... then my history teacher went all crazy about how coincidental it was that we were in history class when it happened.
 
my situation is pretty interesting because of my proximity to downtown manhattan. So 7th grade, doing the normal school stuff. The windows were open because it was perfect weather, NYC in fall (like 70 and sunny). So all of a sudden kids start getting called down to the principals office (at the time we didnt know parents were taking their kids out of school.) Slowly the sky in the distance starts to turn brown with dust and a heavy smell comes in through the open windows. Our teachers kept us in the dark. We heard all different things but not until i got home at 2:30 did i actually find out what happened. I was only 12or so? but man did those images fuck with me. The smell too, when you realize that the smell was burning flesh, it just made you sick. 4 of my moms friends who worked in the WTC died. It just really sucked. I can pretty much remember that entire day start to finish. Obviously though, my poor writing doesnt reflect everything.
 
we have 'current events' day in gr 7 where in the morning people say current events, so i woke up and i saw it on the news and i was like 'cool! i can say that for the current events' but then when i got to school..everyone knew.
 
at the time i was in 6th grade and i was in class (dont remember which one) but the intercom all of a sudden just said 5 and 6 graders to the gym 7 and 8 to the cafe...we have urgent news...and at that time in my life i never had heard of the towers and we were all in awe
 
7th grade history class, my teacher was the department head and he got a phone call and his facial expression changed so drastically that everyone in the class noticed. then he screamed oh my god and sprinted out of the classroom. so when i figured out something bad happened really quickly.
 
WOW, this is nuts eveyone was so young. i was in grade 13!!..

I was in oac calculus, and I didn't believe the guy who told m, exact quote:

Jerry: yo guys, america is under atack, someone just flew a plane into the wtc

Me: Faack off dude, your such a liar.
 
same, except my mom didnt want me to watch it, even though it wouldn't affect me at the time. I had no idea who osama was
 
5th grade, dad told me to come up and watch what was happening on the tv. I didint really get the full effect of what happened to a few days later
 
like the 2nd of 3rd day of 6th grade..they didnt even do anything like put us in a secure place..just went on with the day..i didnt really know what happened until i got home and my parents told me
 
5th grade at school in science class.. then realized my dad was working in DC and i started freaking out major.. lots of kids got called out of school, no one really understood what was going on, the teachers werent allowed to say anything

and i remember vividly running up my driveway and going into the living room & seeing the news....and then found out my dad was ok & away from the pentagon
 
i was in 7th grade finding out the WTC and pentagon were hit wondering to myself, wtf is the WTC and pentagon. keep in mind i grew up in the bronx. later finding out it was the twin towers
 
my mom woke me up after the first plane hit, i guess it would have been around 6:15 on the west coast. i watched the news until 8:20 when my mom drove me to school, where there was nonstop talk about it. we did a research assignment on ossama bin laden in infotech 9 that afternooon.
 
at my locker in 7th grade. my friend came up to me and said that a plane hit the pentagon. i didn't know exactly what the pentagon was, just that it was a building, and i just figured it was a rather small plane, as well as an accident. i was wearing blue jeans and a white tshirt, and it was a beautiful day.

i remember it all so vividly, it's uncanny.
 
i was at my grandparents house cause my parents where at a tradeshow in like toronto or somthing and i went downstairs really early for some reason to watch tv and when i turned the tv on i saw the new story and saw the footage of the planes hitting the towers and then i went to school and didnt really know what was happening till my 5th grade teacher explained it. It was sorta strange beacuse i never watch tv in the mornings before school
 
8th grade personal development with this teacher that was the most annoying bitch ever and she had a mustache. someone went around to all the classrooms for everyone to come watch the tv in the cafeteria and i was like "yes i get out of this fucking class" and then i saw how intense it all was and i was like "damnnnnn id rather have class"
 
8th grade, 2nd day, in France, in PE class when it happened, learned about it after playing tennis when I went to the cafeteria.
