Hey everybody.

Just wondering the musical diversity of you all. Tell us. I'll start.

I've been playing the violin for 12 years.

I've been playing piano for about 16 years. But I don't really play seriously any more, I spend a lot of time writing stuff with software though. Its fun.

Anybody play the bagpipes out there? If so, bring it to your ski hill and play while you are throwing 3s off of side hits. Instant man of the year.

xD

Never had any formal lessons but Ive been jamming on the piano and guitar for about 10 years (since they came into the house i live in)

I know a few songs, and some scales, just enough to jam with i guess. I wish i wouldve taken lessons though no doubt no that im older.

I play the drums

I play guitar and cello best, but I can also play piano, bass, upright bass, violin, and multiple types of wind recorder/ocarina type instruments.

Took piano lessons for a few years, played trumpet 4th thru 8th grade, took guitar lessons for a couple years but recently got an acoustic and have gotten back into it

It is so refreshing to see that so many people play different instruments. The cello has to be be the most beautiful sounding instrument in the world. Too many guitarists out there...

Of course, I also (attempt) to play guitar. I still like it though.

I play guitar, that's my main instrument but i can also play the drums pretty well and the piano when writing/recording music

Been playing acoustic guitar since May of last year. Its so much fun, I can play a lot of songs pretty well, but I dont really know scales to well which is something I want to work on over the summer.

Guitar for 7 years and bass for 2 years. Working on lots of writing as well as learning songs by ear to improve my ear/theory applications.

I play, guitar, piano, and drums. Im currently studying classical composition at the Boston Conservatory and have a band project on the side.

Forgot to ask. Piano people, anybody know any good books for beginners? The school library has a ton of stuff, so they'll probably have something. Or rather, what subject to look up for books. I'm down for anything, theory, whatever I guess. I'm decent at math, I don't know if that's relevant. And I like learning how stuff works, which is why I'm thinking a theory book will be somewhat interesting.

I've played trumpet for 10 yrs and learned how to play the acoustic guitar a year ago but haven't really played much since I learned it. I want to get back into it.

3.

I played classical piano (and took lessons) for about 10-11 years straight until I graduated high school. I also own and can play the saxophone and the baritone horn.

I play drums. Here's some vids of groups I play snare with.
