Ask yourself that question...k good. Now, ask yourself if your name is actually Matt Harvey. Good. Now everyone understands that you don't own this fucking site so technically you don't have a fucking say in what goes on here.

The moderators were chosen personally by Matt because he believed that they were the best people for the job. For the most part, i think he made the right choices, not that i would have any place to say anything because Matt bought and paid for this site with his own money. Yes i know some of you donated money and that's great...but you did exactly that, you donated your money. You did not buy stock in the site, you did not suddenly become more powerful than matt.

so pretty much all i have to say is that most of the loud ass mother fuckers on this site are going to get a very rude awakening when Matt gets back and 0wnz j0e punk asses :-)

we need to build Newschoolers back to where it was months ago, a happy frolicking place for all, not every-other-post-is-trash-worth-not-reading.

I personally think moderators arent doing their job, seriously. There needs to be a stronger censorship of worthless things on here. Not neccesarily profanity or things but just worthless and senseless threads that are just a waste of time and that you can read if that pleases you at other sites

yo nipe, the moderators are doing the best we can aye, But sometimes there's so much crap around that you can't get it all or there's a thread that's really cool but has some crap in it. You can't just delete a thread coz of a few stupid threads and get rid of all the good stuff. I think they do a pretty good job all round. It's hard to please everyone yo, delete too much, get flamed, delete not enough, get flamed, it's all good.

I am not taking sides on this topic (I don't want to be on anymore hitlists) but you can't yell (its the internet, you cant yell, but ya know) at Andy just because he was posting a link to another site. That borders on preventing freedom of speech (yes, I understand completely that Matt owns the site so he can do what he pleases). Think about it this way...Most of us would never have even heard of Newschoolers.com if it was not posted on another forum such as PBP, Freeze and Powder. Yeah I know PBP and freeze are shit now, but still it is no different, just because NS is a close community I think it is being a little harsh to give Andy such a hard time just for posting a link to another skiing site.

I tried to bring this up awhile ago, about how the site was being a trash heap... back when i became a member, way...way...WAY back, it was great, this was a place where anyone could say anything. People would post about EVERYTHING they felt and saw... adn it was a community. everybody felt like they were part of it. Then, slowly, it went downhill.. to now, where you post anything, and it's 'gay' or 'retarded' to someone. no matter what it is. People need to realize, this is a place for people to come to be part of something special. It's not a place to come and be a jackass to other people (although making a fool of yourself is acceptable, and always funny). people should stop being such assholes to each other, and start to respect everyone else, and if that is not possible, then you should leave, cuase this is place for people to come to talk about skiing, life, girls, guys, what happened today that was really funny in math class, about ads they saw on tv, or about anything else... and not have to worry about being critizied for trying to share their experiences with other people.

K, look at a bunch of people's signatures.. a lot of them have links to other sites... have I EVER gotten mad at any of them? EVER? No I haven't... I didn't 'yell' (yell? what? oh my god) at Andy for posting a link to freeskier14's site, I posted my dissaproval because it seemed to me like a blatant advertisement.. 'this site sucks now, come to ours'... in fact, if I didn't want people going to other sites, I wouldn't have a links section would I? This is crazy.

All of this breach of freedom of speech stuff is getting soooooooooo out of control. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. I've said it once, I'll say it again... no one is making you come to this 'monopoly'... monopoly?! WHAT?? HAH!!!!! unnnnnnnbelievable..

And as for bitching at moderators, please don't do that. They reflect the responsibility that I gave to them.. if you don't like what they're doing, please yell at me, not them. I seriously think they're doing a great job putting up with all this censorship crap.

And when in doubt, just go look at the user agreement you digitally signed when you joined... you're breaking the law. not much you can do to argue that...

Anyways! This is so silly. Huge thanks to the mods for sticking with it even after being yelled at every day.

We will continue to keep this site clean, free of illegal chatter, free of porno, free of slander (libel for the grammatically correct out there), and all the other crap that brings sites down.

i want to say that the site has gone through some crappy times (ie, last week) and i know andy's post wasnt supposed to degrade ns.com, but he's just saying that yeah there is a lot of garbage that is finding its way here, but matty, you need to look back and see that you once advertised your site too on freeze and pbp. and i know ns.com wont get that way because of our wonderful moderators that catch that stuff. sure, they dont catch it right away, but most the forums are pretty clean.

I think much the 'crap' which exists in the threads are not really the thread as a whole but individuals who like to 'stir the pot'. If mods could delete single frivilous replys, threads will begin making and have sense again. Not edit or change their post but -delete only- and of course this can and should be easily overviewed by Harvey. This of course for those 'power trippers'. That being said, I hope to see this site regains its previous stature in the newschool skiing community.

that would be a lot of power to give a mod... it would make people think twice about posting stupid stuff.... especially if you piss a mod off a lot and every post you make gets deleted, even if it is usefull... but no mod would do that... 'cause as Matt said - the action of the mods directly reflact back to the actions made my Matt..

but there's no harm in 'stiring the pot' the odd time to get some shits and giggles with some friends, sometimes a innocent victim or two gets hit with the crossfire.
