Meh, they have Metal influences. If you asked Stza he would probably say they're part Metal. They have a Slayer riff in one of their songs. Theres a metal song on Choking Victim's cd, and LoC have done a couple Metal songs. STI is pretty metal I guess.

Plus, most people don't know what crust punk or anarcho or grindcore or any of that nonsense is.

go to the fan site first and get the basic idea of the story that is five albums long. because you can listen to them and have no idea there is a story, which is sweet for long drives because every time you listen to it you figure out something new or a new angle.

definitely the sickest prog rock band out right now in my opinion, just dont bitch about claudio's voice or i will punch you in a jugular. its nice to actually hear a different sounding voice, it makes them unique
 
Definetaly check out protest the hero. Kezia is one of the best albums ever made. Born of Osiris, Caldera, Cancer Bats, Dissilusion, Down, Fall of Troy, Hollysprings Disaster, Iced Earth (horror show is unreal), Isis and why the fuck has no one said lamb of god. God damn the list goes on forever so much good metal out there.
 
Go listen to Nine Inch Nails, or Tool...or if you are feeling like a woman you can check out A Perfect Circle.

Or just listen to good music like EDM....
