Do you claim?

i need an edit button, i keep screwing up my posts.

well, yesterday i got the frontflip for the first time ever and i got it on my first attempt. given the fact that it was on the biggest kicker(around 12-13 meters) of my resort, which still is in preseason mode.

i pretty much claimed the shit out of it.

i usually do a delayed claim (on the chairlift or something) only if its something special. if the time is right i afterbang though.

well, if i'm hiking a jump and trying new tricks I usually don't have poles in my hands.... If I do happen to land a new trick that gets me all stoked I usually just give myself a little clap when I'm stopped at the bottom of the landing. No fist pump in the air or anything like that.

the question is do you claim outside of the mountain. i for one dont.
i sit there quietly in the hospital (where i work) and listen to every single one of those fuckers say to me how they have skiied forever and they do black diamonds, moguls, etc etc.
if i ever say offhand that i hit jumps, they immediately respond "OH YEAH ME TOO I DO THE JUMPS I HAVE BEEN SINCE I WAS LITTLE!!!!!"
including this stupid north face crocs petzl climbing helmet extreme glacier sunglasses wearing tool who refuses to acknowledge that i ski, ESPECIALLY without gore tex because god knows i get soaked in my carhartts...
fuck that vent came out of nowhere i had to deal with that bitch all day yesterday. he insisted that a 30 ft jump was "pro only" and that to suggest that i could even clear it was blasphemy. he said he didnt know why they even made inferno at mt. snow, and that everyone who went off it was a possible dew tour qualifier.
freakin idiot

not usually, when im hiking something and land something new i usually give my self a little smile, and its always nice when other people in the park cheer for you though, like when they see youve been tryin that trick for a while and finally get it.

and as for afterbang, I keep forgetting to do it for some reason, i havnt afterbanged yet and i want to start afterbangin my tricks but i forget lol.

The harder the bang, the bigger the claim. Pretty soon people will just start collapsing to the ground when they do something cool.

i like to claim when it was somethign i was like how the fuck did i do that, but when u land something clean u were trying you shoudl jes not talk any shit letcha skiing speak

i guess i'm kinda a claimer, i claim to my friends and every now and then to an occasional other person. i kinda don't do it much anymore but i used to do it way too much, until my brother and his started to tell me i was a claimer. now i've settled down but some of my friends still claim a lot anyways. whatever, at least i've stopped for the most part. i try not to do it all that much, especially now since i'm injured and haven't had much to claim about.

every time I land a cool trick I take a cup cake out of my pocket, light a candle in it, and throw it in my friend's face and dance around. Luckily for my friends I don't do cool tricks very often.

Haha so instead of falling everytime you"re trying a new trick you can't get, you just say your afterbanging it really hard.e

If landing a trick I've done before cleanly, I afterbang just a little, but not too much that its ugly.

If I land something new sometimes I do the hands on the head "HOLY SHIT DID I JUST DO THAT?!"
