Hello NY/NJ/PA'ers! Looks like we'll be suffering through one more hot ass weekend, but good ol' Lake Harmony, PA (home of Big Boulder) is showing lows in the 40's from Saturday night on.

Let's hope for a steady march downward, and maybe we'll be seeing you all in November.

You can all be forgiven for not feeling the stoke quite yet...but we're looking at a low in the 30's for the first time in a VERY long time. Enthusiasm?
 
heellll yeah i live ten mins away from there and it looks like winters here for real now. Anyone know if there having the holloween jam this year?
 
Talked to Guido (BB Park dude) at the MSP premiere in Philly last night. He said there won't be a preseason jam as long as snow would have to be trucked in...but they're planning to blow snow in the Plaza once temps permit for a solid little hike park ASAP.

This is the part where it's pure speculation...but it looks to me like the night temps are gonna be solidly in the 20's and 30's all week up there. This weekend? I'm pretty ready for it.

so much hype for black friday! i remember riding black friday 2 seasons back.
 
I want Boulder to open early, however it all depends on weather. They can say they will open Black Friday, but if the weather doesn't get colder, they won't be able to. I'm not putting words in their mouth because I want to see it happen, but it's all up to mother nature.
 
Blue's opening day that year was one of the worst skiing experiences of my entire life. On the other hand over the last three seasons opening day at Boulder is usually one of the highlights of my year.
Please get colder!!!
 
It's like this every damn year, no surprise at all really. When was the last time we even saw a white christmas?? We'll se 50's in december I bet too.
 
Last three years the first or second weekend of November Boulder has opened, that's what I was countdown for.
So what's the deal PA peeps, is BB opening tomorrow?
 
you can buy lift tickets but 10 cans of food will get you one...plus you support the hungry...which will make dub corks easier
 
The Scientists just called in and have said with great dismay that

the weather has moved in much faster then anticipated and that big

boulder PARK wont be opening tonight.

We don't like closing as much as you don't like not riding but

sometimes its gotta happen. We will be back up and running as soon as

possible once this rain clears with more early season PARK riding.
