on the last day of ski season get a $10 dollar bill and put it in your ski jacket pocket. Come next season you will find and be happy and say "thank you past self".

Today i put on my fall/spring coat b/c it was warm and found $10 that i left for myself in my pocket and said, "thank you past self, i guess im having a sub today"

you wont be sorry.

Yeah, but then you're out 10$, so fuck that. I'd prefer to stay happy with the few dollars or lost change I find in there every once in a while and not use big bills.

i do this without thinking all the time. i will find change and snacks in my outerwear and its so rad.

i was actually giving away a pair of old ski pants and when i tried them on for my sale thread pic, found $20 bill in there!

i put money in my wallet and when i find it i say oh good i didn't put it in my ski gear now i can actually buy stuff.

haha there was a sale on mini chocolate eggs at walmart like a week ago, and i bought eight bags. i found three in my jacket this morning. so stoked.

so a little thread hijack, but this is the coolest story i have ever heard (in relation to this topic)
so this friend of mine goes climbing, has basically no time to pack and just throws everything into his car, picks up his friend and drives down the roads, nothing special. but then, they reach the border and for some reason, maybe because they looked fucked, they get special treatment and pretty every fiber of the car is browsed by the border patrol.
so far, so funny. but then, one of the officers finds a plastic bag in one of the old backpacks (belonged to his dad, he didnt open it and just threw it into the car) and there is a white-yellowish powder in it. OF COURSE they think its some kind of drug and another officer brings those folders with samples and they search through 2 of those folders, look, taste, smell and basically have no clue whats going on.
my friend is of course calling his dad and asks him what the fuck he left in his old backpack. but his dad has no idea and he says that he used that thing for the last time over 10 years ago or so.
20 minutes, a lot of sweat and a lot of browsing through drug-catalogues later, his dad calls again, and guess what, he remembers that he always used to take something to eat with him on his ski tours.
LONG STORY SHORT: in this bag was a fucking BANANA, vaporized to the smallest parts. so be careful guys, dont "forget" a banana, or you might end up handcuffed on some random border station.

puuuh, that was long, but to make it easy for the next guy:
COOOOOL....

i take out half of my checks in two dollar bills, two dollar bills are common, but they always seem rare. So i am less inclined to spend them. I did this for a while and ended up having like 400$ in two dollar bills.

I love finding exciting stuff in hidden jacket pockets!

Except once i left a granola bar in my ski jacket over the summer. First day up the next year, my friend and I are talking about how cool it is finding stuff in your pocket when i saw that there were hundreds of meal worms in my pocket and they literally ate through my pocket. I didn't even notice until an hour into the car ride and then skied with this jacket all day. It was disgusting.

awe that sucks. it sounds like you wouldve had more than enough meal worms to share with your friend

bump for near end of season.

i dont know if im gonna be able to do it this year since im poor as ass right now

i do this all the time with my wallet(its pretty big). i just tuck a 20 in there somewhere and just forget about it.

now that i think about it, im not sure im for this anymore.

not really into saving money anymore.

w.e hopefully this is helpful for somebody

When i was like 12 my bud found a $100 bill in his pocket. That was cool. Especially because it was on his birthday.

i think ill get 1 more day in on saturday, if theres any snow left.

its going to be 15+ (60'F) every day this week
