Do stiffer tonques reduce toe bang

I have a size of full tilt booters from two seasons ago with the #4 tongue. They are 29.5's and were fitted when I weighed 75lbs more but now are too big. I knocked my toenails off but had padding put in to keep my ankle pushed back. I was wondering if a stiffer tonque might help with this and if so what flex. Im 6' 3 and weigh 190 if that matters

A stiffer tounge may actually make it worse. It's only when you flexed forward tht the toes will come off the front so going too stiff may prevent you actually getting forward as much. It simply sounds like the boots are too big and your slidin forward in the boots.

I know this but im too cheap to buy new boots

I have the same problem with my Dalbellos, and the same problem with my wallet (new boots are definitely what you need). That being said you can get foam inserts to put in above/around your toes in the liner. If you have any friends that can fit boots they should be able to do this for super cheap.

If you are banging your toe the primary cause of that is most likely because your boot is too big. If you have extra space in your boot instead of the boot moving with your foot, your foot will hit into that void. Toe issues can also be caused by leaning back too much when you ski. Make sure you are skiing with your knees in line with or in front of your toes. A stiffer tongue could potentially help to seat your heel back in your boot therefore preventing toe bang. Also make sure your top two bucks or cables are micro-adjusted to their tightest setting. this will help seat your heel back and keep those toes off of the front!

also landing backseat often will ruin your toes and give you shin bang.

There are different types of toe bang. You can either be ramming your toe forward (too much space in the toe box, and you need new boots plain and simple) OR if you are losing toenails, odds are you are hitting the "roof" of the boot with your toe. The only way to fix that is opposite of what someone suggested, and thats to put inserts under the heel to help drive your toes down and into the boot. Everyones feet are different though, go back to the boot fitter that you bought them from and work it out. Skiing in pain sucks.

Congrats on losing 75lbs

This is unfortunately the most plausible answer. A stiffer tongue will do nothing to help set the heel or change the fit of the boot. It will for sure be harder to flex forward which in turn causes the foot to remain in the front of the boot. Don't go stiffer unless the current tongue is far too soft for you. But it sounds like fit problem to begin with, not a flex problem.
